3. Each group will guess the word based

on the given four pictures.
4. Every word that the group unlock shall
be written on board by their writer.
5. After all the words are properly
identified, the group shall re-arrange
the words and form a phrase or a
sentence and identify what it is all
about.
6. The first team to properly identify the
ultimate word before the 3-minutes
mark will win a prize.
Note: If learners aren’t able to solve or
identify the ultimate word on a given time,
the teacher will help the learners identify the
ultimate words.

formula. on the cumulative frequency.
Process Questions:
1. What difference can you notice
from the formula?
2. What does the unique part of the
formula use for?
Since the formula is similar and the only
different part is the location of the measure
of position, therefore the process on
calculating the percentile of the data set is
similar to quartile and decile. So the steps
are:

 Calculate the location of percentile

 Locate from the computed value on
the cumulative frequency. Closest
but not less than cf value to the
computed location

substituted.
 Substitute the values and perform
the indicated operations.
 Interpret
 Check or review

Since the steps are similar to quartile and

decile that we already discussed. The way
we perform the indicated operations is also
similar so let us try if you can calculate
percentile of grouped data based on the
process you have learned from our previous
discussions.

G. Finding Practical Application of
Concepts and Skills in Daily Living Remember when we divided our data
(ELABORATE) set into 100 equal parts? That concept
of percentiles is incredibly powerful
because it allows us to understand the
distribution of our data in a much
deeper way.

By breaking our data down into these

manageable chunks, we can easily
compare different parts of our data set
and draw meaningful conclusions. It's
like having a roadmap that guides us
through the landscape of our data,
helping us navigate through its highs

and lows.

So, as we wrap up our practice session,

let's remember the importance of
percentiles in helping us evaluate and
interpret our data effectively. This
understanding will serve as a valuable
tool as we continue to explore and
analyze data in the future."
Education field: through the use of
percentiles, we can determine how many
percent of the students needs support. For
instance the lower 25% could reveal us low
the students scored, like wise we can also
compare it to the upper 25% do the scores
of the upper 25% of the class high, average,
or low? Which will help us decide on our
next steps.
The similar analogy is used in other fields
like businesses.
