Computer parts

As my reference, I chose a computer. I started taking an interest in computers when I was

old enough to understand the concept of a computer. My dad being an information technologist,

he also knows a lot about computers. Throughout my childhood, he has tried to teach me all the

things to know about computers. When I build my first computer, I recognized how special and

important each part is, just like my aspects of life. Some parts may be small but it makes a huge

impact on the performance of the computer. Throughout my high school career, I was struggling

to pick what kind of major I should pursue.

STRUCTURE- I chose the case of the computer representing my family. The case

protects and supports the computer parts inside. My family represents the case because they are

always trying to protect me. They will do anything for me and I will do anything for them.

Whenever I need a laugh, I know I can go to my brother and sister. My mom makes sure that I

stay humble. My mom always gives me life lessons not to annoy me, but simply just to protect

me. She wants me to succeed in life. I know if I need any kind of help, I know I can go to my

dad. If I need an emotional support animal, I know I can go to my dog. I love my family and I

know whatever I do in life, they’ll support me throughout everything. With all of the support, I

know I can keep my plan stable and continue.

 STYLE- GPU(graphics processing unit) represents my style because when you play

games on your computer, depending on the type of GPU you get, your game graphics can

change. Companies come up with better GPUs which can help the computers graphics and I

think that represents style because your style changes as you get older. I think that your style is

important because it can be a way to express yourself. Expressing yourself to your fullest

potential is important because people can get a better understanding of who you are and that can

attract people in your life.

COHESION- the CPU(central processing unit) and motherboard. The CPU and the

motherboard represent my parents. The CPU and the motherboard is two of the most important

parts to build a computer. If you don’t have them, you can’t build a computer. If my parents

weren’t here, I wouldn’t be here. My parents are so important to me because they’re the reason

why I am who I am today. They have guided me through life, and made sure to be responsible

and independent. I think that without them, I wouldn’t be as prepared for the real world. I’m

scared to graduate and become an adult but I know my parents will be there when I need them.

STRENGTH- RAM(random access memory). The RAM is the memory system where it

stores a small amount of the data inside of the computer. This helps keep the computer

organized and this represents my brain. Any new information that I receive, it will go straight to

my brain. Whenever I receive information in a short amount of time, especially in math I get it

right away. That’s a skill that can be used anywhere so I’m glad I’m able to do that

DURABILITY- Hard Drive. The hard drive stores a large amount of information on the

computer. It’s very important because you need somewhere to store all the information and keep

it organized. I think being organized is very important because it allows you to access
knowledge. You need to be able to access things quickly because you have limited time. Whether

you’re studying, working, or anything else in life.

DIRECTION- Power supply. The power supply allows the computer to turn on. The

power supply represents me. I am my own person, I make my decisions and I need to make sure

I am smart about my decisions. I am proud of the person I am today and I hope I continue to

grow and become the person I want to become in the future. I hope that I am successful in life

and will overcome anything that is in my way.
