ESSAY
The picture demonstrates different stages in generating electricity from a kind of coal.

At first glance, the process involves two main steps, commencing with the mining of the
coal and culminating with the use of electrical power for various purposes. ‘

To begin with, the coal is extracted from a mine before being ground down by a crusher.
Following this, the coal is then put into a minecartmine cart and transported by a truck to
the factory. Then, the coal is heated to produce gas once it is delivered to the factory.

In the second stage, the gas is classified, one is cooled and cleaned and the other is
discharged. A similar stage is observed in the next step, the gas used in power plants to
generate electricity and emit excessive gas. Eventually, the electricity is distributed through
transmission lines to private homes and industries.
Some people say in order to prevent illness and disease, governments should focus on
reducing environmental pollution and housing problems. To what extent do you agree or
disagree?

ESSAY
Many individuals believe that addressing environmental pollution and accommodation
problems is the most effective method to prevent illness and disease. From my perspective,
while this approach can be highly beneficial to some extent, I firmly hold the view that it
should not be the sole focus of government attention.

On the one hand, reducing the detrimental impacts of environmental pollution and house
shortage can yield numerous advantages. To commence, minimizing the harmful effects of
environmental issues can decrease the prevalence of various chronic diseases. For example,
air contamination is an alarming issue that causes several respiratory diseases in many
nations. Undeniably, when vehicle emissions and industrial activities are under control, the
rate of fine dust and toxic fumes can be decreased. Similarly, the housing problem is a
potential factor causing the infection. The key rationale is that homeless or low-income
people who have to resort to living in gutters and small sewage are at higher risk of getting
infectious diseases. As a consequence, it contributes to the spread of bacteria and
hazardous viruses.

On the other hand, focusing solely on environmental and housing problems can overlook
other critical determinants of public health. Firstly, the authorities should implement
intervention programs and health campaigns to improve residents’s awareness about
health. It can be explained by the fact that a variety of dangerous health diseases such as
diabetes and heart conditions are still popular because of unhealthy behaviors. Therefore,
healthy public organizations can boost motivation and empower dwellers to stay healthy
more efficiently than only focusing on environmental and housing problems. Secondly, an
accessible healthcare system plays a crucial role in ensuring citizens’s health. It is apparent
that even if pollution and housing shortage are tackled, people living under the poverty line
must still face barriers to accessing healthcare due to financial or geographical constraints.
Hence, enacting prioritizing policies and expanding healthcare infrastructure is one of the
vital domains that need to be considered.

In the final analysis, I am convinced that while reducing environmental and housing
problems can offer numerous benefits in preventing diseases and illnesses, the authorities
should consider other determinants of public health such as healthcare system accessibility
and unhealthy behaviors.
