Laplace Transform and inverse Laplace transform

Laplace Transform: If f(t) is a function of t defined for all 0,then the Laplace
Transform of f(t) denoted by L{fo} or F(s) or f(s), is defined and
LfO}=e" f) d1 . Here, s is parameter may be real or complex.
&Laplace Transform of elementary functions:
1
1. L0) S
(s>0)
2. L(en) = l (s > a)
S-a

3. L(t)=
n!
where n=0,1, 2, 3,... otherwise r(n+1)

4. L(sin a) = +a
(s>0)

5. L(cos at) = (s > 0)

6. L(sinh at) = (s>la)

S
7. L(cosh at) =
-a' (s> a)

Linearity property:
If L{fO}= f(s) and L{e)} =g(s) then L{af0) +tbg)} = af(s) +bg(s),
where a &bare constants.

o First shifting theorem(s-shiftingl:

If L{SO)- f(s) then Le" f)} =f's+ a), where ais constants.

eg. (i)L{e" sin br} =(s-a)' +b? (i1) L{e" sinh br} =(s-a)' -b'
