Duas for Rizq- Sustenance

! " !

Basics Baqiyatus-Salehat Sahifas-Other Misc Hadith/Actions

Arabic Transliteration Translation

Imam Ali(as) in Nahjulbalagha on SUSTENANCE:

Allah has guaranteed your livelihood and has commanded you to act. Therefore, the pursuit of that which has been guaranteed to you should not get preference over that

whose performance has been enjoined upon you.

But by Allah, most certainly the position is that doubt has overtaken and certainty has been shattered and it seems as if what has been guaranteed to you is obligatory on

you and what was made obligatory on you has been taken away from you. So, hasten towards (good) actions and dread the suddenness of death, because the return of age

cannot be hoped for, as the return of livelihood can be hoped for. Whatever is missed from livelihood today may be hoped tomorrow with increase, but whatever is lost

from the age yesterday, its return cannot be expected today.

Hope can be only for that which is to come, while about that which is passed there is only disappointment. So ";fear Allah as He ought to be feared and do not die until you

are (true) Muslim."; (Qur'an , 3:102)

Tasbih of Fatima Zehra (sa)

Once the Prophet's (saw) daughter Fatima Zehra (as) asked the prophet for a helper. The Prophet(saw) advised her to recite the
following Tasbih which is now known as Tasbih e Zehra. This Tasbih is usually recited after each prayer. However it also has great
value for solving the problems of Rizq, Sustenance, Business, Job etc. The person should recite the tasbih with the niyat (intention)
of seeking rizq (sustenance)
(sustenance), before leaving the house ,before commencing business or before starting work at office.

successful in acquiring sustenance than through business for a whole month” -Reference: Makarimul Akhlaq, Pg. 304;

Tawasul of lady Khadija(sa): Seek intercession from her to overcome Rizq problems as her wealth made the Prophet (saws) wealthy

Saying Salam A person came to the Prophet (saws.) and complained of poverty and straitening of sustenance. The Messenger of Allah
(s.a.w.s.) told him:
When you enter your house, say Salam (salute) whether there is someone therein or there is none. Then recite Surah
Tawheed, once. The man did as advised and Allah gave him so much that he even passed some of it to his neighbors.[8] Tibb al-Aaimma,
As-Sayyid Shubbar, Pg. 524

Safeguard Against Poverty :Recte Sura Waqia 56 after Magrib Salat

From Imam Reza (a.s.) from his forefathers from Imam Ali (a.s.) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who recites the
following a hundred times everyday will acquire wealth by it, and poverty will be removed and the door of poverty will be closed while the
door of Paradise shall be opened for him:

ُ ِ‫اﷲ ا ْﳌَﻠ‬ َ ِ ِ
ُ ْ ِ‫ﻚ ا ْﳊ َ ُّﻖ ا ْﳌُﺒ‬
‫ﲔ‬ ُ ّ‫ﻻ َ اﻟ ٰ َﻪ اﻻ‬
Laa ilaaha illallaahul malikul h’aqqul mubeen.
There is no god except Allah, the True and Manifest Ruler.
It is said in traditions to recite the above thirty times for removing poverty and getting prosperity.
Ref [9] Tibb al-Aaimma, As-Sayyid Shubbar, Pg. 524

Recitation of this ayat removes poverty Imam Sadiq(as) wondered that when a person aspires for wealth and property, why doesn’t he
recite the following words.Because Allah has said that those who utter these words have acquired a great Bounty.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. And whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will make for him an outlet. And give him
sustenance from whence he thinks not; and whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him; surely Allah attains His purpose; Allah indeed has
appointed a measure for everything.[5]

A well known Alim indicated that after each Salat, recite Tasbih Zahra(sa), 3 times Salwat, 3 times Sura Tawhid and then 3 times the above
ayat.
