The Kumon Placement Test assesses
your child's strengths and needs.
Everyone needs a starting point. The first step in your child's journey is one of the most important
steps of all.
• With the Kumon Instructor observing, your child takes a placement test to gauge their abilities in
math and reading.
• Along with your child's test score, the Kumon Instructor takes note of your child's concentration
level, speed, handwriting and more.
• The instructor assesses the information to determine the best starting point for your child, and
then designs an individual program around your child's abilities, needs and goals.

It also allows your child to build strong
study habits.

should start at Level 2A 1.
