THÌ TƯƠNG LAI TIẾP DIỄN

A. CÁCH DÙNG:
 Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc sẽ đang diễn ra ở một thời điểm cụ thể
hay một khoảng thời gian trong tương lai.
VD: I will be eating dinner at 8 p.m tomorrow. (Tôi sẽ đang ăn tối
vào lúc 8 giờ tối mai.)
→ Có thể thấy 8 giờ tối mai là thời gian xác định và việc ăn tối sẽ
đang được diễn ra vào thời điểm này. Vì vậy ta dùng thì tương lai tiếp
diễn.
 Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc đang xảy ra trong tương lai thì có một
hành động, sự việc khác xen vào.
LƯU Ý: Hành động, sự việc xen vào được chia ở thì hiện tại đơn.
VD: I will be waiting for you when the party ends. (Tôi sẽ chờ anh
khi buổi tiệc kết thúc.)
→ Sự việc “ tôi chờ anh” đang diễn ra thì sự việc “buổi tiệc kết thúc”
xen ngang vào. Sự việc “tôi chờ anh” đã đang diễn ra được một
khoảng thời gian rồi sự việc “buổi tiệc kết thúc” mới xảy ra. Cả hai sự
việc đều xảy ra trong tương lai.
 Diễn tả một hành động sẽ xảy ra, kéo dài liên tục trong tương lai.
VD: Next week is Christmas, I will be staying with my family for the
next 5 days. (Tuần tới là Giáng sinh, tôi sẽ ở với gia đình trong 5
ngày tới.)
→ Việc “ở với gia đình” sẽ kéo dài liên tục trong tương lai (5 ngày
tới)
 Diễn tả một sự việc sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai đã có trong lịch trình,
thời gian biểu định trước.
VD:The match will be starting at 8 p.m tomorrow. (Trận đấu sẽ bắt
đầu vào 8 giờ tối mai.)
→ việc “trận đấu bắt đầu vào 8 giờ tối mai” đã được dự định, lên kế
hoạch sẵn từ trước.
 Dùng để yêu cầu/hỏi một cách lịch sự về một thông tin nào đó ở tương
lai
VD:Will you be bringing your friend to the pub tonight?
Bạn sẽ rủ bạn của mình đến pub tối nay chứ?
 Kết hợp với “still” để chỉ những hành động đã xảy ra hiện tại và được
cho là sẽ tiếp tục diễn ra trong tương lai
 VD: Tomorrow he will still be suffering from his cold.
Ngày mai anh ấy vẫn sẽ bị cơn cảm lạnh hành hạ.
 Diễn tả những hành động song song với nhau nhằm mô tả một không
khí, khung cảnh tại một thời điểm cụ thể trong tương lai
VD: When I arrive at the party, everybody is going to be celebrating*.
Some will be dancing. Others are going to be talking.
Khi tôi đến bữa tiệc, mọi người sẽ đang ăn mừng. Một số người sẽ
đang nhảy múa. Một số khác sẽ đang trò chuyện với nhau.
B. DẤU HIỆU NHẬN BIẾT:
 At this/ that + time/ moment + khoảng thời gian trong tương lai (at
this moment next year,…)
 At + thời điểm xác định trong tương lai (at 5 p.m tomorrow)
 …when + mệnh đề chia thì hiện tại đơn (when you come,…)
 Từ nhận biết: In the future, next year, next week, next time, soon.
 Ngoài ra khi trong câu có sử dụng các động từ chính như “expect” hay
“guess” thì câu cũng thường được chia ở thì tương lai tiếp diễn. Đây
cũng là dấu hiệu thì tương lai tiếp diễn hay gặp trong các bài thi.

trong tương lai.
VD: I will have finished writing this letter before 10 a.m. (Tôi sẽ viết
xong lá thư này trước 10 giờ sáng.)
At six o’clock, Mrs. Smith will have left. (Vào lúc 6 giờ thì bà
Smith sẽ đã rời đi rồi.)
 Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc hoàn thành trước một hành động, sự
việc trong tương lai.
LƯU Ý: Hành động, sự việc hoàn thành trước sẽ chia thì tương lai
hoàn thành. Hành động, sự việc xảy ra sau sẽ chia thì hiện tại đơn.
VD: You will have received the package by the time your flight takes
off. (Bạn sẽ nhận được bưu kiện trước khi chuyến bay của bạn cất
cánh.)
B. DẤU HIỆU NHẬN BIẾT:
 by + thời gian tương lai (by 10 a.m, by tomorrow, by next month,..)
 by the end of + thời gian trong tương lai (by the end of next week,..)
 by the time + mệnh đề chia ở thì hiện tại đơn (by the time I get up,…)
