Manual Firmware Update: -

1. Power off the dashcam and remove the cables.

2. Remove the camera.

3. Remove the microSD card located as shown below (press down on the card gently to release it).

4. Insert microSD card into the MicroSD card reader.

5. Insert the card reader (provided with the Dashcam) into your computer via USB.
6. Download and install the BlackVue Windows Viewer.

7. Run the program after installation and click SD Card Viewer.

8. Click the MicroSD icon to format.

9. Select your SD Card (will show your model number) from the list as shown below then click Format then YES
to confirm.

10. Download the older firmware from BLACKVUE or AUTOBLACKBOX and save it to your downloads folder.
11. Once downloaded, open the downloaded zipped BlackVue file (you should just see a single Blackvue folder)

12. Copy over the BlackVue folder straight onto the empty microSD card

13. Once completed, remove the microSD card and re-insert into the camera.

14. Turn the car on to turn the camera on. You should hear “Updating Firmware, do not turn off your camera”.

NOTE: Do not turn the camera off at this stage until the firmware update has completed.

15. The camera will start up as normal once completed (it can take some time for the process to finish)
