giant community.English is very important language and it has been incorporated into the

mastering curriculum of many colleges and different gaining knowledge of institution all over

the world.

The language is noting but systematic capability of communication through the use of

words, symbols and sounds. Int existing interconnected through the use of world, gaining

knowledge of English has been a very essential factor. Knowing English will certainly pare way

to higher employment possibilities in existing aggressive and altering world imparting

proficiency in English language have to begin from the faculty level. Good English learning in

the school level will help making the student equipped in this technology of globalization. It will

help to bridge the verbal exchange gap between human beings of arrange of other international

location and there by bringing the whole world underneath one single roof it is a high

revolutionary and new damage thru strategies of improving the language mastering approach

students are compelled to find out about and analyze language. The students need to talk the

English language.

The English language plays a very important role for the student education. In modern

cutting edge world English language becomes the primary language of education. All over the

world, the English language is the fundamental language of the find out of every training system

(Adil,2019).

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

This research aim to find out the impact of English language socialization on grammatical

development.

a. Determine the challenges encountered by the students in the English language.

b. Determine the effects of English language socialization on grammatical development of

students.

c. Discuss the challenges encountered by students in English language.

As stated in Chomsky, language is one of the attribute that is special to human along all

over living beings. Noam Chomsky, postulated that the mechanism of language acquisition is

derived from the innate processes. Innate is something which is already there in mind since birth.

The principle proposed by Chomsky is proven via the teens living in equal linguistic community.

More over they are now not influenced via the external experience which will deliver about

comparable grammar. The thus proposed his idea on language acquisition in 1977 as “all young

Development to the senior high school students. The output of this study was the effect of

This study focus on the Impact of English Language Socialization Grammatical

Development. This study will be conducted in Silay Institute, Inc. It will involve survey on the

Grade 11 HUMMSS who are currently enrolled in this school year, (2019-2020). The study aims

to identify the reason and impact of English language socialization grammatical development to

the students.

SIGNIFICANTS OF THE STUDY

Students –This study will help the students to have a wider understanding regarding in English

language socialization.

Parents –The parents should encourage their children to be more active in learning English

language to improve their grammar in English language.

Teacher –This study is to determine on how the teacher can solve the grammatical errors of

students in English language.

School Administrators –This study will help the school administrators understand the

perception of the student regarding the importance of English language socialization on

grammatical development.

Future Researchers –This study will help and open the mind of future researchers to understand

the study about the Impact of English language Socialization on Grammatical Development.

should start right from faculty level will help in making the students have a position in this ear of
globalization. It is high modern and new destroy through strategies of improving the language
studying technique should be adopted by way of faculty. Altogether it will help the pupil to talk
English language just like any native speakers.(Language Lab-Article,2015).

English language learning may have a positive impact to students. Learning English
language should be start from school. Good English learning in school can develop the grammar
of students and can make students fluent in English language.

Conforming to the Abdulbrahman(2013), says that different students can have different
difficulties and problems in getting to know English. Student can make one of a kind mistakes
pronunciation, grammar, orthography and vocabulary usage.

Students can encounter and ca face different difficulties like some students can easily
learn English language and some students were difficult to learn English language.

As stated in Journal pro. (2015), said that the role of grammar in getting to know English
language, grammar enhance a fluency: when a individual has learned grammar, it will be easier
for that person to recognize how to arrange and express ideals in their thought barring difficulty.
As a end result a person will capable to speak, examine and write the language greater fluent.

Grammar has important role in learning English language and grammar improve the
fluency of a person when a person already know grammar, a person can express ideals in mind.
A person will become more fluent in English.

second language is even much less easy. Particularly if the freshmen learning outside the
country. For instance, English language novices in African countries, some different countries
face a lot of challenges because English is not the native language of these countries, just as there
are problems confronted in studying English as overseas language, as there are problem in
getting to know English as overseas language. As there are challenges in gaining knowledge of
English as a second language.

Learning English as a second language is difficult, if the learners outside the country.
Other countries a lot of challenges in learning English as a second language because English is
not a native language of other countries, it is difficult for other people to learn and speak English
as a second language.

In line with Adil (2019). Expresses the problem confronted with the aid of students in
speaking the English language, that what are surely the troubles by which the pupil are unable to
speak the international language. It is a demand of present day world for surviving in society,
humans have to recognize and talk English language.

Students faced difficulties in speaking the English language, that the reason why student
were not motivated to speak English because of shyness in speaking English and lack of
confident in speaking English language.

Pursuant to Mary (2019), describe that the English is a very essential language and it
incorporated into the gaining knowledge of curriculum of many faculty and other getting to
know establishments all over the world.

English is important in learning curriculum of many school and other learning institution
across the world because English is par of learning system of many school.

As stated in the study of Janhavi (2019), certify that the English is the most widely wide
spread language of higher training and make inconvenient for student who wished to go for
greatest education in particular in the west world.

Socialization is about on how student interact with others students. Socialization is


interaction in different activities in school. Just like English language socialization the people
socialized through English language.

Just as Fenner (2014), formulates that the literature indicates most trainer obtained a low
proportion of professional development to specifically tackle the need of language.

Teacher is part of learning English language because the teacher teaching the students
about English language some teacher receive a low percentage of professional development
because some learners were hot motivated to learn English language.

According to Savignon (2017), mention that in the 21 st century second and foreign

Many school and other institution has a policy that speak English language only in
English class English speaking in school allows student to improve the speaking skills.

Conforming to Souriyangvongsa (2013), starting that most college students had been not
motivated to find out about English. Many reason that cause Lao students poor performance of
their getting to know English as overseas such as the weak point of curriculum design, lack of
English trainer and lack of students learning motivation.

Students encountered a lot of difficulties in learning English in school that is why


students were not motivated to speak English.

of the most widely spoken language and it is not surprising that so many people want to learn

English language. The different effects of language socialization to students, students can

encounter difficulties in learning English language. Students can make different mistakes in

pronunciation, grammar, orthography and vocabulary usage. Grammar has a role in learning

English language, grammar improves the development of fluency of a person. The problem

caused by incorrect grammar was not uses and follow the guidelines of grammar. Learning

English as a second language is difficult for other learners .English is not the native of other

countries that is why it is difficult for the learners to learn English language students faced

difficulties in speaking English language that is the reason why student were not motivated to

speak English language. English is important on learning because English is part of learning

system and important subject in field of education. The impact of English language is a cross the

world. English is part human history because it is one of the most spoken language and it is the

native language of other countries. Socialization of English language has a positive impart to

person. When person learn English language it can opens a lot of opportunities and many

interesting ideas occur. Socialization is about on how students interact with other students.

Socialization is interaction in different in school. Just like English language socialization the

people socialized through English language.It takes a lot if curiosity,time and effort to learn

English language.

Operationally.This terms refers to the one useful language to bridge the communication gap

between people of various other countries.

Language. Is a speech or other forms of communication .

Operationally .This terms refers to a structured systems of communication.

Impact. The action of object coming forcibly in the contact with another marked effect or

influence.

Operationally. This term refers to men a forceful, even violent contact between two or more

things.

Socialization. The act of adopting behavior to the norms of a culture or society.

practices that enable them to participate effectively in a language community.

Operationally. This term refers to the study of the socialization of language and socialization

through language.

phrases, and words in a natural language.

Learning. Is the process of acquiring new or modifying existing knowledge.

Effect. Is defined as a result of something or the ability to bring about a result.

Operationally. This term refers to impact or change.

Students. A person formally engaged in learning.

Operationally. This term refers to a persons who goes to school and is learning something.

Speaking. To talk to someone about something or you use your voice in order to say something.

Operationally. This term refers to an act of making vocal sounds.

METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the methods used by the researcher,the respondents of the study ,the

locale ,the data gathering procedure and the data analysis.

RESEARCH DESIGN

In this study the researcher use qualitative research that is defined as the study that investigate

the quality of relationship,activities,situations or materials.

RESEARCH LOCALE

The study has been conducted at Silay Institute ,Rizal Street Silay City, Negros Occidental

Philippines.The said school was established in 1925.

RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY

The respondents of the study are the HUMSS randomly selected Grade 11 students of Silay

Institute.Five respondents were interviewed for the in-depth-interview and five respondents for

the group discussion.

DATA ANALYSIS

This part of the research deals with the analysis of data and the data gathered from the focus

group discussion and in-depth –interview.The researcher used coding and thematic to analyze the

data.The focus group discussion and in-depth-interview process were audio recorded.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

The researcher use random sampling method in selecting and gathering of (15)

respondents.Before selecting (15) respondents ,the researcher went to the Grade 11 HUMSS

classroom and ask permission to the respondent to conduct an in-depth-interview and focus

group discussion to the selected students randomly.Selects students from grade 11 HUMSS

classrooms .The researcher use In depth interview procedure.

Most of the respondents says that learning and speaking English language were difficult

and challenging task they have been encountered. They says that the socialization of English

language in school can improve their grammar their speaking skills the reason why most of the

students afraid to speak English language because they afraid to make mistakes in speaking

incorrect grammar. Most of students have lack of confidence and lack of motivation in speaking

English language. Most of the respondents states that the English language socialization may

have a positive effect to students because it help them to improve their grammar in English

language that is why some students want to learn English language..

A Research asked a first question that states, “What are the challenges encountered by the

students in English language?’’ Respondent A answered, “ The challenges that encountered the

students by the English language is that they need to speak in English in order for them to

enhance their speaking skills.”then a researcher asked a second question that states,(CODE A) “

What are the problem and difficulties encountered by the students in English language?” she

answered, “ The most problem and difficulties in that (ahm) is that in English language barrier

that they cannot speak English fluently and they need to improve that.” (CODE B) then a

researcher asked a third question that states, “How do you challenges yourself speaking English

as a student?”she answered “ I challenge my self by speaking in English and in which way I do

understand and by speaking English I will speak the language were I understand that

meaning.”(CODE C) then a research asked a fourth question that states, “ Does socialization of

English language in school can improve the grammar of students in English language? Why?”

she answered, “ Yes, it can enhance their speaking skills as well as they will know(ahm) they

English language socialization to students?” she answered, “ As what I’ve said they can enhance

their speaking skills, they will know a lot more specially in speaking English language.”(CODE

E)

A researcher asked a first question that states, “ What are the challenges encountered by

the students in English language?”Respondent B answered, “ the challenges that I encountered

by being a student in English language is that im not totally fluent in English.”(CODE A) then a

researcher asked a second question that states, “ What are the problem and difficulties

encountered by students in learning English?” she answered,“ The problem and difficulties

encountered me being a student in learning English is that there’s (ahm) sometimes there’s a

English word that I cant understand.(CODE B)” Then a researcher asked a third question that

states, “ How do you challenge your self speaking English as a student?” she answered, “ I

challenge my self in speaking in English as a student by pronouncing it and speaking English in

school.”(CODE C) Then a researcher asked a fourth question that states, “ Does socialization of

English language in school can improve the grammar of students in English language? Why?”

she answered, “Yes, because I can help us to enhance our speaking in English language and also

it can help us to speak fluently in English.” (CODE D)Then a researcher asked a question that

states, “ What are the effect of English language socialization to the student?” she answered, “ it

is for us to understand some deep English word and also to connect or to answer (ahm) English

the problem and difficulties encountered by the students in learning English?” she answered, “

Learning English language is difficult for me as a student because you need to attention to your

teacher in English class (ahm) so that you could learn English language.” (CODE B) Then a

researcher asked a third question that states, “ How do you challenge your self speaking English

as a student?” she answered, “As a student I challenge my self to speak English in school so that

I can speak English language more fluent and (ahm) develop my speaking skills in English.”

Then a researcher a fourth question that states,(CODE C) “ Does socialization of English

language in school can improve the grammar of the student in English language? Why? She

answered,”Yes,socialization of English language in school can improve the grammar of students

in English language because the students adopt the English language, it help us to improve and

develop our grammar in English.”(CODE D) Then a researcher asked a fifth question that states,

“ What are the effect of English language socialization to the students?” she answered, “ English

language socialization have a good effect to student(ahm) because it can boost their confidence

and they can speak and communicate with other people confidently.” (CODE E)

A researcher asked a first question that states, “ What are the challenges encountered by

the students in English language?” Respondent D answered, “Nang ano kung (ahm) indi kabala

mayu kain chindi sang mga words.” (If you cannot know and you cannot understand the

word).”(CODE A) Then a researcher asked a second question that states, “ What are the problem

and difficulties encountered by students in learning English?” she answered , “Ahm… ang mga

ano, ang ila mga meaning kag ila ano (ahm) pag pronounce.” (Ahm..the what, the meaning and

they do not know how to pronounce it).(CODE B) Then a researcher asked a third question that

states, “ How do you challenge your self speaking English as a student?” she answered, “ Ahm..

ang gna challenge ka mag ano… example mag reporting mag hambal sa tunga.” (Ahm… if you

being challenge example during reporting, when you speak at the center).(CODE C) Then

researcher asked a fourth question that states, “ Does socialization of English language in school

can improve the grammar of students in English language? Why?” she answered. “ Oo, kay sa

pakikipagsocialize damo ka ma learn nga mga language kag ila mga meaning kag basta daw gina

ahm… gabaylo baylo ang ila nga ano… ang ila learning.”( Yes, because of socializing you can

learn more language and their meaning and if you are exchanging their learning).(CODE D)

Then a researcher asked a fifth question that states, “ What are the effect of English language

socialization to the student?” she answered, “Nang ano maka… good effect mana sa, makabulig

man sa as a student,makabulig sa maka improve sa il apag speak sa English nga language.” (As a

student, it can have a good effect and it can help us to improve in speaking of English language).

student in English language?” Respondent E answered, “As a student I encounter the language

hmm..inano to gani? The challenges I’ve encounter is nang (ahm) ng sometimes (ahm) gaka

ano… gaka lipat… gaka stress ka man kon kis-a paghambalsa English kay kung kis-a sagad ka

mag sula tsa English pero kung maghambal kana budlay.”(As a student I encounter the language

(ahm) in, what is it? The challenges I’ve encounter is when (ahm) sometimes (ahm) being what, I

forgot (ahm) being stress, sometimes in speaking English because sometimes you are best in

writing English but if you say it is difficult).(CODE A) Then a researcher asked a second

question states that, “What are the problem and difficulties encountered by student in learning

English?” he answered, “For meit easy to learn English but nang sometimes its hard man kay

pressure ka man sa study mga…. (ahm) activities mga amo na to bala haw.”(For me it is easy to

learn English but in sometimes it is hard because you are pressure to study those activities). Then

a researcher asked a third question states that, “ How do you challenge yourself speaking English

as a student?” he answered, “For me yourself I challenge my self in speaking in English nang

(ahm) ano… as a person because if you learn English nang (ahm) gaka apply mo man sa imo self

kag (ahm) kag I love ano making an essay so in learning in English I challenge my self to learn

more. So that I improve my self to build up and correct essay and grammar.”(For me I challenge

my self in speaking English as a person if you learn English (ahm) you apply it in yourself and I

love what, making an essay soin learning English I challenge myself to learn more so that I can

improve myself to build up and correct essay and grammar.)(CODE B) Then a researcher asked

a fourth question that states, “Does socialization of English language in school can improve the

grammar of students in English language? Why? He answered,“for me yes because ive been in

school that in ano (ahm) in English speaking bala nga eskwelahan. So before I don`t have to

speak in English but today I know to speak in English not very well but I know lang. (For me

yes, because I`ve been in a school that in English speaking but today I know how to speak

English not very well but I know only).(CODE C) Then a researcher asked a question that

states.” What are the effect of English language socialization to the student ?” he answered, “for

me the effect of a student in a socialization is.. for me I learn how to make an correct (ahm)

sentence in English I know how to make an essay and how to reason out mga amo na ah….”(For

me the effect of a student in a sentence in English , I know how to make an essay and reason

out).(CODE E)

A researcher asked a question that states, “What are the challenges encountered by the

student in English language?” Respondent F answered, “ The challenges encountered by the

student in English language ,(ahm)is their own self, they are lack of self-esteem to their selves ,

(ahm) and never trust their ability .” then Respondent G answered “To me, the main problems

(ahm) that students are facing in learning English are (ahm) they treat English as a subject rather

than life skills,(ahm) with global ramification they don’t realize that English language

acquisition entrails (ahm) five critical skill set. (ahm) reading, writing, thinking, speaking, and

listening.”Then respondent H answered, “The challenges encountered by the students (ahm) is

their speaking skills in English , because they are afraid to correct some grammatical words.”

Then respondent I answered ,” The challenges encountered by the student in English language is

(ahm) incorrect grammar and afraid of making mistake in writing and (ahm) speaking English.”

Then respondent J answered,” The challenges that I encountered in English (ahm) is grammatical

error and lack of confidence to speak English.” ) (CODE A)Then a researcher asked a second

question that states , “What are the problem and difficulties encountered by students in learning

English ?” then respondent F answered, “ (Ahm) the problem and difficulties encountered by

students in learning English (ahm) is the unfamiliar words that they keep on thinking and (ahm)

answered, “Lack of confidence (ahm) because I experience this when I was in elementary ,every

time we have a recitation I (ahm) I feel nervous, I could not speak the words clearly.” Then

respondent H answered, “ I challenge myself by boosting my speaking skills (ahm) in public

using my English voice therefore, my speaking skills will be developed.” Then respondent I

answered , “ Ahm.. asa student I challenge myself to speak English language (ahm) so that I can

DISCUSSION

Most of the respondent states that the challenges encountered by students in English

language were learning and speaking English language words and the language grammar. The

problem and difficulties in understanding deep meaning of English words and establishing their

grammar correctly. The student did to challenge their self in speaking English were trying to

speak even it is hard for them. Most of the respondents said that socialization of English

language in school can improve the grammar of the student in English language because through

socialization of English language in school can help them to practice, adopt and also it can help

them to correct and improve their grammar.

Based on the significant findings of this study, the following conclusion were drawn

challenges and difficulties in English language. All of the respondents were able to express their

own perception regarding the affect of English language socialization on grammatical

English language were learning ,speaking English language and the language grammar.It was

hard for them to learn and speak. Some of the respondents said that socialization of English

language can improve their grammar in English because through socialization of English

language in school can help them to practice, adopt, to correct and improve their grammar in

English language. Most of the students have lack of confidence And lack of motivation in

speaking English language.

TRANSLATIONAL IMPLICATION

This study implied that most of the respondents states and express their perception on the affect

of English language socialization on grammatical development. Most of the respondents

encountered difficulties and challenges in English language .Some of the respondents says that

their confidence and enhance speaking skills.
