N OTIFICATIO N
PERTAINING TO ONLINE ADMISSION IN TWO YEAR D. EL. ED. COURSE
(REGULAR) FOR THE SESSION 2024-2026 IN INSTITUTES RECOGNIZED BY
NCTE & AFFILIATED TO WEST BENGAL BOARD OF PRIM ARY EDUCATION

1] On and from 16/05/2024, online applications are invited from intending persons
who are eligible in terms of NCTE norms (Appendix-2 of NCTE Regulations-2014) idest
having 50% or more marks in H.S or its equivalent examination (45% for SC/ST/OBC-
A/OBC-B) on the basis of certificates issued by the competent authority of West
Bengal only, for admission to two year D.El.Ed Course (Regular Mode) for the Session
2024-2026 in Institutes (listed medium-wise in WBBPE’s portal for admission:
2024-2026), recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to WBBPE.

2] Candidates, belonging to PH/Ex-servicemen category shall be entitled to 5%

relaxation of marks for such admission, if their respective category claim is supported
with relevant documents/certificates, issued by the competent Government authority.

3] The applicant is required to select his/her/its preferred institute medium wise,

according to the language(s) studied by him/her/it in Higher Secondary (+2) or its
equivalent examination. In order to dispel any ambiguity, for example, if an applicant
selects a Bengali medium institute, he/she/it must have studied Bengali (of 100
Marks) in his/her Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination. Similarly, if an
applicant selects a Hindi/ Urdu/Nepali/Santhali [in Olchiki script] medium Institute
for admission, he/she/it must have studied Hindi/ Urdu/Nepali/Santhali [in Olchiki
script] (of 100 marks) in his/her/it Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent
examination.

4] WBBPE makes it abundantly clear that no institute shall admit students of other
mediums, idest Bengali medium Institutes will admit students who have studied their
Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination with Bengali and English, while a
Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santhali medium [in Olchiki script] Institute shall admit students
who have studied their Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination with
Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santhali [in Olchiki script] (as the case may be) and English. Any
breach of the above shall render the admission cancelled and/or rejected.

5] The medium wise list of NCTE recognized institutes/units there under, has been
prepared strictly on the basis of the faculty/teaching staff, appointed by the
institutions and approved by the Board. Details regarding eligibility & admission
procedures will be available from 16/05/2024 in the following website:

6] The applicants are requested to provide in the application one mobile no. with
WhatsApp facility and an email Id where she/he will be available for communication
and regulatory updates (instructions/assignments etc.), as and when necessitated.

7] The eligible and interested applicants are requested to adhere the following
procedure:

B] Click on the link: "Online Application for Admission to Two Year D. El. Ed.
Course (Regular Mode) for Session 2024-2026" and follow the instructions
therein carefully and apply for admission.
SC H E D U LE OF A D M ISSIO N
The process of applying online including submission along with the uploading of the
scanned copies of the following documents (as per given specifications), shall start
from 16/05/2024 and continue till 31/05/2024.

l Admit Card of Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination as proof of age

(to be uploaded).
il Mark-sheet of Higher Secondary (+2) or its equivalent examination (to be
uploaded)
ili. Photograph of the applicant (to be uploaded).
iv. Scanned Signature of the applicant (to be uploaded).

v. Aadhar Card No. of the applicant (If unavailable, Aadhar card No. of
father/mother/legal guardian) is to be given in the specified field.

vL Caste/Category certificates (where applicable) (SC/ST/OBC-A & OBC-B

certificates, issued by the competent authorities in the Government of West
Bengal (to be uploaded). Such certificates from other states shall not be
considered.
vii PH Certificate (where applicable), issued by the competent Medical Boards,
headed by the Superintendent of the concerned Government Hospital (to be
uploaded).
viii. Pension/Service Booklet/Certificate as Ex-serviceman, issued by the
competent authorities (to be uploaded, if applicable)
ix. Domicile certificate, issued by the concerned BDO for Santhali Medium
applicants for the Ramgarh Unit of Jhargram DIET (to be uploaded).
The submitted online filled-in application forms along with the scanned copies of the
documents mentioned above will be forwarded to the Institute selected by the applicant
for scrutiny, verification and authentication.
• The Heads of the respective Institutes will transfer the verified and scrutinized
applications to the login of the Board [online only) from 01/06/2024 to
09/06/2024 along with the reasons of rejection of applications, if any.

WBBPE will prepare and approve the merit lists digitally and forward the same to the
dedicated log-in of the Institute on and from 10/06/2024 to 22/06/2024 for
admission.
Commencement of classes and also the mode thereof for the new Session will be on
and from the 8th July, 2024.
The Heads of the newly recognized D.El.Ed. Institutes, affiliated to WBBPE and listed
for admission under this Notification are requested to come to the Board’s office for
getting their unique User ID & Password from 10/06/2024 onwards.
The existing recognized institutes who already have their User ID and password shall
use the same Id & Password.
