INTRODUCING YOURSELF
Mary and Joe meet for the first time. They want to
introduce themselves to each other and speak to
other classmates; Nicole and Peter.

Mary : Hi I’m Mary. What’s your name?


Joe : I’m Joe; nice to meet you, Mary.
Mary : Nice to meet you too, Joe. How old are you Joe?
Joe : I’m 22 years old and you?
Mary : 21. Where are you from?
Joe : Madrid, Spain. What about you?
Mary : Prague, Czech Republic.
Joe : You speak very good English.
Mary : Thank you. I have been studying English for many years.
Joe : How long?
Mary : I feel like I have been learning English all my life.
Joe : Oh, that’s exciting! It was really nice to meet you Mary.
Mary : It has been a pleasure to meet you Joe. Would you like to
meet the rest of the class?
Joe : Yes, let’s go and get to know them.
Mary and Joe go to introduce themselves to the other classmates.
Mary : Hi, I’m Mary and this is Joe.
Nicole : Nice to meet you Mary and Joe. My name is Nicole.

friend Peter. I just met him a few minutes ago.

culture.
Peter : Actually, only a little.
Mary : Well, I have to go. Nice to meet you, Peter.

Waiter : Good afternoon sir, madam
