An activity related to written comprehension (phonics/ chunks) ( 2 pts )

To check the learners’ ability in identifying the names of objects related to the
main topics dealt with, using pictures.

Activity 1: Match the following pairs. ( 4 topical words/ 0,5 each)

Example:
doctor

fireman

dentist

painter

farmer

To check the learners’ ability in identifying the missing letter (related to
target sounds) in names of objects related to the main topics dealt with, using
pictures.

Activity 2 :Tick / circle / colour .. the right word . (4 topical words/0,5 each)

Example :

 Cantin o classroom - Fich  babi  Tree


 Canteen o classrum - fech  Babe  tri
 Cantien o classrom - Fish  baby  trie

NB,
The right word must contain the letter/letters representing the target sound dealt
with in the previous sequences.

Activity 3: Circle the missing letters. ( 4 topical words/ 0,5 each)

NB,
-The missing letters must be related to the target sounds already tackled in the
previous sections and represented by the letters: i – y – ee –ea- – ie – ch – sh -

An activity related to written production. ( 4pts )

-To check the learners’ ability in filling a form through reading a text. The
text and the form components must be related to the previous sequences in
terms of topics and linguistic content.

-The text mustn’t go beyond 15 words.

Activity 4: Read the text and fill in the form.

Text criteria: Form criteria:

-Length: from 10 to 15 words) - 3 components related to the


previous sequences.
