2010, both sides have a population of 1.9 billion and a GDP of $6 trillion. Chinese companies enjoy zero tariffs when entering
▪ Railroad Market:
According to the Indonesian Ministry of Transport's National Railway Vision 2030, Indonesian railroad projects will be imple-
mented by 2030 with an investment of more than US$ 88.16 billion. This huge fund will be used to build light rail (Jakarta,
Makassar, Medan, Surabaya, Bandung), MRT, high-speed rail (Bandung and Surabaya), build 3,258 km of railway lines in some
strategic areas, increase the number of trains and build new stations. The Indonesian Government aimed to triple the national
rail network to its current size through the National Railways Master Plan (RIPNAS), with the goal of increasing the number of
passengers nationwide by 11-13%.
The National Railways Master Plan 2030 covers the development of Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua and the islands of
Java and Bali, includes the construction of freight and passenger rail markets, involves the planning of a 3,800 km urban rail
network, consists of 2,839 passenger cars, 34,178 passenger carriages, 2,475 freight locomotives and 48,364 freight cars.

ASEAN has been one of the fast-growing regions in the world in terms of economic development and international relations.
