METHOD OF TEST

1. Sampling from the Net or Netting

a) The six pieces (25 cm x 25 cm) test sample specimens were taken from the recommended positions
as per CIPAC 4827/m method.
b) Subject three of above the pieces to the 4 washing-rinsing-heating cycles as per CIPAC 4827/m
method. And the remaining 3 pieces are analysed for their content of active ingredient without any
washing.

2. Washing Procedures
a) Washing Method
According to CIPAC 4827/m – MT 195 Wash Resistance Index of LN. The detergent Polyoxyethylene
Glycol (25) Monostearate and Sodium Oleate was used.
b) Four washing-rinsing-heating cycles were performed for the three pieces of net samples.

3. Determination of Total Alpha-Cypermethrin Content Befor and After Washing

a) Three pieces of net without any washing were analyzed as results for before washing (t o); the other
three wahed pieces were analyzed as results of after 4 washing times (t4).
b) The total Alpha-Cypermethrin content was analyzed by Gas Chromatograph - Flame Ionisation
Detection (GC-FID) according to CIPAC method 454/LN/M/3.2 (CIPAC Handbook M, p.40, 2009) as
