SEARCH FOR BACKYARD GARDENING COMPETITION 2021

The Green thumb Challenge

Mechanics:

-The contest is open to all plantita/plantito youth of Poblacion, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro under the
age range of 15-30 years old.

-The contest will be in two (2) categories, Ornamental Gardening and FAITH (Food Always In The
Home) /Vegetable Gardening and will be judge separately.

-Each participant shall choose only one (1) category to be participated.

-SLOTS ARE LIMITED. Only 10 participants for Ornamental Gardening while 10 participants for the
Vegetable Gardening or FAITH.

-A combination of plots, pots and container gardening concept is accepted.

-The garden should have at least more than 5 varieties of plants and vegetables.

-The participants must submit a best photo entry of their garden and a short description.

-An actual judging of gardens per category shall be done.

-Submit your entry via email address: skpobnab@gmail.com together with the following information:
NAME, AGE, BIRTHDAY, PUROK, CONTACT NO., GENDER, AND A SHORT DESCRIPTION of the photo;

-Deadline of submission is on August 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM

-Actual judging shall be held on August 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM.

-Official entries will be posted for the People’s Choice Award. The entry to gain most of the HEART
reactions shall be the awardee. Posting will be on August 8, 2021 and will end on August 13, 2021 /
12:00 NN.

Plants are well grown and healthy 35%

Organization 25%

Visual impact 20%

Different Variety of plants raised 10%

Social media impact of the official photo/s 10%

TOTAL: 100%

Criteria: FAITH/ Vegetable Gardening

Plants are well grown and healthy 35%

Using of organic fertilizer and soil fertility management 20%

Garden design, lay-out and arrangement of plants 15%

Skilful utilization of existing resources and use of recyclable materials 15%

Different Variety of vegetable used and total production of crops 5%

Social media impact of the official photo/s 10%

TOTAL: 100%

ORNAMENTAL / FAITH

1st Placer : P3, 000 with planting tools each

2nd Placer : P2, 000 with planting tools

3rd Placer : P1,000 with planting tools

Two (2) consolation prize: P800
