Organizational Profile

The Vishal Mega Mart came into existence in November, 2009 with the aim of bringing development in the field of shopping in the city of temples. The centre has achieved success to a great extent, as today it stands at no.1 amongst the category of Marts. The Vishal Mega Mart is located right in the heart of the city, near the famous Bakshi Nagar Chowk opposite to Govt. Medical College, a spot easily approachable from every corner of Jammu City. The Mart project when complete will provide Collection of almost all International as well as local brands of Dress material, Watches, cosmetic materials, Shoes, etc. However the existing infrastructure has two floored building fully air conditioned with bathroom facility at each floor, Elevator and Lift facility is available, also there is a large basement for parking vehicles. Besides this there is a restaurant on the top floor of the building equipped with well furnished sitting arrangements and a reception always ready to help. CCTV cameras are placed at each corner of the Mart. The floors of the building are divided into several compartments each having different products of different brands for sale. In addition to these toys store is also available for Fun and Entertainment of children.

System Specification
Existing System :In Vishal Mega Mart, all the information is stored in the registers. Currently a large number staff is employed for maintaining the records. Costumer records, daily attendance records of employ, payment details and many other take a large time which causes delay in all other jobs which in turn creates problem for customers as well as the staff members. As the time changes new demands and technologies need fast processing of data and preparing records in less time. To do it manually is very difficult. Limitation of Existing System : The work with regard to preparation of bills of charges and computer so as to reduce the quantum of time to be involved as well as to avoid any chance of error and also to maintain the records systematically in a scientific manner. The working process of The Vishal Mega Mart is manual from the last so many years. The information stored on the registers is at a higher risk. The information is not protected from the unauthorized persons such as outsiders. If the information is lost due to any reason such as Theft, Fire or Misuse by unauthorized persons. Then there is no chance of recovery of information.

Proposed System :In the modern age we know computerization of all departments of an organization is must so in this Mart computerization is the basic necessity. Benefits of the proposed system : By computerization, less processing becomes Fast. Data can be edited easily. Data recovery and Data security becomes possible. There is backup facility for the Data. Easy alteration of the Data. Billing becomes Easy and more Flexible. It provides non-redundant and correct information. wastage of Time and Data

Modules :Inventory:- In Inventory there will be a procedure of maintaining the records of available stocks and when the amount of stock available is about to finish, A notification will be displayed automatically alerting the user to buy more stocks before gettining finished. Billing System:- In billing system there will be a procedure of consumer to get a computerise bill. The prices will be assigned according to the product code number. Employee Records:- In employee records system, there will be procedure of maintaining records of all employs. The details will include Name, ID, Age, Address, Contact No., Salary, etc.
