SUTURE WORKSHOP
SutMedical
SutMedical together with QualityMedical had a stand on surgical sutures,
where they showed the sutures they produce such as Monoglyd, Polyglyd,
polyester, PVDF, Polypropylene and silk. In addition, they allowed exhibitors
to practice stitching pads.
Also, showed a special kit for cardiovascular surgery called a valve kit.

NEOMEDIC

Neomedic specifically showed a single product, which is BULKAMID, they are

pelvic tapes, especially for pelvic sleep, to treat two specific pathologies:
Urinary Prolapse and Urinary Incontinence. The techniques are called TVT or
TOT

ETHICON SUTURES

The absorbable sutures were created thinking about the comfort of the patient
and the peace of mind of the surgeon:
- Monocryl Plus for TCS
- PDS Plus: Is antibacterial, recommended for plastic and cardiovascular
surgery
- Vicryl to approximate tissues
- Vicryl RAPIDE: Fastest synthetic suture that exists.

No absorbable sutures:

To close the skin and leave no trace, they have two products: PRINEO and
Dermabond
In addition, they showed us high-resistance sutures for very strong tissues
such as Stratafix.

BRAUN

This commercial house, unlike the others, showed us a line of resistant

surgical meshes made of polypropylene, it also has a conversion table of the
needles from different commercial houses included to compare and equalize
their products.
Also, it has a fan as a kind of catalog to show its sutures, it told us that it is
the only commercial company that has an absorbable super suture which
lasts three months and its name is MONOMAX, and it has a skin glue called
HISTOACRYL which is for sale in drugstores.
