Introduction
This demo illustrates how the applications InTouch and ArchestrA Workflow Software can be integrated
to notify the supervisor when the Drum falls off the conveyer belt.

The document has been divided into two sections:

I. Step by Step Graphical Representation of the Sample Application (Using Web Based Enterprise
Console)

II. Step by Step Graphical Representation of the Sample Application (Using Work Tasks Inbox)

In the first section, the sample application execution is demonstrated through Web. The operator and
supervisor are notified about the drum spillage through tasks assigned in the web based Enterprise
Console. They are able to view and act on tasks from the Enterprise Console only.

In the second section, the sample application execution is demonstrated through mobile. The operator and
supervisor will be notified or alerted about the drum spillage through tasks assigned in the Work Tasks
Inbox. They will be able to view and act on tasks from their mobile devices.

Pre-Requisites
 Install ArchestrA Workflow Software 2012 SP1 using the CD shipped.

 Restore Galaxy and ArchestrA Workflow Software repository which is present in the CD shipped.

 For details on pre-requisites for section II. Step by Step Graphical Representation of the
Sample Application (Using Work Tasks Inbox), refer section Work Tasks Configuration and
Installation of the Getting Started with Sample Applications document.

I. Step by Step Graphical Representation of the Sample


Application (using web based Enterprise Console)
Scenario 1: Supervisor approves the observation made by the operator
1. Launch InTouch from Start menu  Wonderware  InTouch.

2. InTouch Application Manager is launched, right click on the Reactor Demo and select
Window Viewer.

3. InTouch Window Viewer is launched, to authenticate it go to Special -> Security -> Logon or
click Security. Provide User name as Kevin and Password as kevin, refer the image below:

4. Click CONVEYOR button to view the Drum Conveyor.

The Drum Conveyor is displayed, wherein the Drum is moving automatically.

5. Click the section highlighted in red to view the Conveyor Operator Panel.

6. Change the setting from Auto to Manual by clicking the knob.

7. Click New Drum, a new drum will emerge from the door on the left on to the conveyor belt.

8. Click TRANSFER, for the drum to come forward and move.

9. In Manual mode the EJECTOR does not work. If the EJECTOR is not used the Drum will fall
off the Conveyor belt.

When the Drum falls the „Bio Hazardous Material Spill‟ warning message will pop up in the
application, refer the image given above. This drum fall event will trigger the workflow.

10. Click OK in the “Bio Hazardous Material Spill‟ warning message. The Inbox control for the
operator Kevin appears. Double-click the work item in the Inbox control.

11. “Hazardous Spill Operator Feedback Form” appears. Enter the required details. Also,
electronically sign the form by providing User Id, Password, and Comments (optional). Click
Submit Form.

Once the operator Kevin submits the form, a work item is sent to the supervisor for approval.

12. Access Enterprise Console of ArchestrA Workflow Software 2012 and log in as supervisor to
approve the observation made by the operator.

13. To login, click Galaxy Users.

14. Provide the supervisor‟s username and password. For this demo, username will be Michelle and
password will be michelle.

15. In the Inbox, you will see the workitem (the task assigned to the supervisor). This task was sent to
the supervisor, when the workflow was triggered. Click the work item to open it.

16. The workitem window is displayed wherein the supervisor can review the comments entered by
the operator and either approve or reject it.

Enter comments and electronically sign the form by providing User Id, Password and Comments
(optional). Click Approve.

17. Navigate back to the Drum Conveyor. You will observe that after obtaining approval from the
supervisor, a pop-up message “BIOHAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPILL CLEARED” appears
which shows comments from the supervisor.

Also, the mode has been changed from Manual to Auto and the Drum has started moving
automatically.

Scenario 2: Supervisor rejects the observation made by the operator


Prerequisites

Follow steps 1-11 from Scenario 1 which demonstrates the Drum fall event and the operator Kevin filling
the form with his observations. When Kevin submits the form a task is assigned to the supervisor
Michelle to either approve or reject the observations. To either approve or reject, login as supervisor
Michelle and follow the steps given below:

1. Access Enterprise Console of ArchestrA Workflow Software 2012.

2. To login click Galaxy Users.

3. Provide the supervisor‟s user name and password. For this demo User Id is Michelle and
Password is michelle.

4. In the Inbox, you will see the workitem (the task assigned to the supervisor).This workitem was
sent to the supervisor‟s Inbox, when the workflow was triggered. Open the workitem.

5. The workitem window is displayed, wherein the supervisor can review the comments entered by
the operator and either approve or reject it.

Enter comments and electronically sign the form by providing User Id, Password and Comments
(optional). Click Reject.

6. Navigate back to the Drum Conveyor; you will observe that the mode still remains as Manual
since the supervisor has rejected the observations made.

II. Step by Step Graphical Representation of the Sample


Application (using Work Tasks Inbox)
Scenario 1: Supervisor approves the observation made by the operator
1. Launch InTouch from Start menu  Wonderware  InTouch.

10. Click OK in the “Bio Hazardous Material Spill‟ warning message. The operator Kevin receives
the task in Work Tasks Inbox. To view and act on the task from mobile Inbox, log into Work
Tasks as Kevin.

Note: If Kevin was already logged into Work Tasks with push notification enabled, he will be
alerted about the task assigned to him through a Badge on the Work Tasks icon as shown below.
The number on the Badge indicates the number of new tasks assigned to Kevin.

11. When Kevin logs in, he will be able to see the task in its Inbox. Tap on the task to act on it.

12. “Hazardous Spill Operator Feedback Form” appears. Enter the required details. Also,
electronically sign the form by providing User Id, Password, and Comments (optional). Click

ArchestrA Workflow - BAM Report


The Business Activity Monitor Report of Hazardous Spills Workflow helps you to monitor the number
of times the observations made by the operator have been rejected by the supervisor.

To View the Report


1. Login as Lenka (User Id: Lenka and Password: lenka) in Enterprise Console using Galaxy User
link.

2. From the Enterprise Console pull down menu select Reports, the Skelta Business Activity
Monitoring Screen appears.

3. Select “Hazardous Spills Workflow” from the drop-down as shown below.

4. Expand the Hazardous Spills Workflow section and view the report as Bar Chart, Pie Chart or
Trend Analysis.

Getting latest workflow data for the BAM Report


To ensure the BAM Report of Hazardous Spills Workflow is generated with the latest workflow data
follow the steps given below:

1. Login as Lenka (User Id: Lenka and Password: lenka) in Skelta Enterprise Console using Galaxy
User link.

2. From the Enterprise Console pull down menu select Workflows. The Workflows list appears.

3. Right click Hazardous Spills Workflow and select Design Workflow. The Workflow Process
Designer screen appears.

4. In Workflow Process Designer screen, Click on Settings -> BAM Configuration

5. In BAM Configuration Window navigate to Basic Configuration tab.

6. Click Process Now to ensure all processed workflows appear in BAM


Report.

Viewing Work Item Count from InTouch


1. Launch InTouch from Start menu  Wonderware  InTouch.

2. InTouch Application Manager appears. Right click on the Reactor Demo and select Window
Viewer.

3. InTouch Window Viewer is launched, to authenticate it go to Special -> Security -> Logon or
click Security. Provide User name as Kevin and Password as kevin.

4. The logged in user, Kevin is able to see the count of work items assigned to him.

5. Click Workitems count to open the Inbox control.
