Proposed Solutions and Strategies To Biodiversity Loss
Proposed Solutions and Strategies To Biodiversity Loss
Disappearance of one
could trigger severe loss of harmony within the ecosystems. In this present day,
prevention of biodiversity loss has become a major concern for the humans as
their lives depend heavily on these components of different ecosystems.
Primarily, biodiversity loss occurred due to both natural and anthropogenic
reasons. Extreme weather, volcanic eruptions, floods, etc. are the natural causes.
On the other hand, anthropogenic causes include all the human caused problems
such as climate change, habitat loss, pollutions, land cleansing, ocean
acidification, etc.
Now, it is high time that we start focussing on how we can minimize the
elimination of our biodiversity by developing proper and effective solution
strategies.
1. Habitat Protection
Habitat protection can be an effective point to start combating biodiversity loss.
It involves identifying and protecting critical ecosystems in our environment.
Projects like building national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, marine protected
areas should be initiated where strict regulations will be put to limit human
activities that could harm the environment.
