MATERIALS
Bernat® Boa (100 g/3.5 oz; 130 m/142 yds)
#45305 (Parrot) 1 ball

Size 6 mm (U.S. 10) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. 2 yds
(183 cm) of waste yarn for sewing back seam.

GAUGE:13½ sts and 15 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS: Cast on 52 sts.

Work in garter st (knit every row) until work from beg measures 2½ ins [6 cm], ending
with a WS row and inc 4 sts evenly across last row. 56 sts.
Proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 6½ ins [16.5 cm], ending with a
WS row.
Shape top: 1st row: *K2tog. K6. Rep from * to end of row. 49 sts.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: *K2tog. K5. Rep from * to end of row. 42 sts.
4th row: Purl.
Cont in same manner, dec 7 sts on next and every following alt row to 21 sts. Break
yarn, leaving a long end. Draw yarn through rem sts. Fasten securely. With waste yarn,
sew back seam, reversing seam at bottom for roll back.
