BIOGRAPHICAL CRITCISM

On August 23, 1849, William Ernest Henley was born in Gloucester, England. When William is teen or
early years he was characterized by illness and hardship, which had a big impact on his outlook and artistic
expression.

Additionally, William found it simpler to relate to themes of fortitude and courage in his poems because of his early
challenges in his life. In 1875, William Ernest Henley created his first poem that the title is “Invictus,” that made his
know and famous and in 1888, when his work was published, and his work make him more famous because of its
powerful message about resilience in the middle of difficulties.

William also wrote several books of poetry and essay focusing on the themes of inner strength and
human experiences. In the past, some of young writers recalled or remembered William as a kind and gentle bully
who is strong in his criticism of unworthy reputations and his kindness in elevating and encouraging undiscovered
talents. Also, one of William characteristics is that he often look resentful.

But the reason why William Ernest Henley look like that it might be, because of his personal experiences like envy
and small conflicts that affect his behaviors and writing styles in the past, Near the end of William life, in particular,
he provided a forum for up-and-coming authors and thinkers as the editor of The Scots Observer.

William’s contributions and influence are immeasurable, despite the fact that they may spark arguments
and conversations.
