II. PROBLEM PRESENTED


The Out of School Youth of Antonio Canao Organization members stated
that they are lack of financial, lack of self-confidence, lack of coordination,
information dissemination, skills and education.

III. Background of the organization


The Out of School Youth Organization of Antonio Canao is composed of
23 above but some of them transferred to other places, only 20 of them
remained. It was composed by youth, ages range 18 to 30 years old. All of
the members are single. Most of them are laborer but the main economic
resources are farming.
The Out of School Youth of Antonio Canao was re-organized by the
social work practitioners of Kalinga State University (KSU) and to be
registered at Municipal Social Welfare and Development office (MSWDO) to
avail the program and services of concerns agencies/government.

IV. Community of the organization


The community where the Out of School Youth organization members
is located at Antonio Canao but most of them are in sitio of Dugnac. Dugnac
is surrounded by the rice field. The community has a facility like elementary
school, Day care Center, Health Station and church.
The community source of income is seasonal Farming and others are
Laboring. Their source of electricity is coming from the KAELCO and over
flowing water is their source. In this community mostly don’t have a comfort
room they just defecate in an any area.
The community houses were mostly built with bungalow made of
wood and a two story house made of concrete. Their means of their
transportation were motorcycle, tricycle and jeep. It was composed of 201
households with the total population of approximately 917 hundredth
people. The community people receiving services from the government like
Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Social
Pension, Department of Agriculture Program, Educational Assistance and
others.

V. ASSESSMENT
The training will help the out of school youth acquire knowledge and
skills which they can use to help themselves and their family in terms of their
financial status. Participating in the community activities / rending services
towards their community would help the out of school youth to be responsible
youth. By doing so, their attention would divert to helping their community
and would give them the chance to realize the importance of being a
responsible youth not only for their community and family, but most
importantly, for themselves. aside from rending services in the community. it
would be better that the out of school youth will be given the chance to
pursue their desire for study.

VIII. RECOMMENDATION

The worker strongly recommends the Antonio Canao Out of school youth
Organization to any line agency that will cater other trainings, like technical
education and skills development authority and alternative learning system.
And the group members to socialized w/ other organization for them to be
learned in organizing.
