Trignometry
Trignometry
the sides and angles of triangles. It's a fundamental topic in mathematics with
wide-ranging applications in various fields such as engineering, physics,
astronomy, and navigation.
Basic Concepts:
Trigonometric Functions: The primary trigonometric functions are sine (sin), cosine
(cos), and tangent (tan). These functions relate the angles of a right triangle to
the ratios of its sides.
Right Triangle: A triangle with one angle measuring 90 degrees (a right angle) is
called a right triangle. Trigonometry primarily deals with right triangles.
Sine (sin): Ratio of the length of the side opposite the angle to the length of the
hypotenuse.
Cosine (cos): Ratio of the length of the side adjacent to the angle to the length
of the hypotenuse.
Tangent (tan): Ratio of the length of the side opposite the angle to the length of
the side adjacent to the angle.
Applications:
Geometry: Trigonometry is used to calculate distances, angles, and heights in
triangles and other geometric shapes.
