INtroduction to physics
what is physics?

Physics is the natural science that studies

matter, its fundamental constituents, its motion
and behavior through space and time, and the
related entities of energy and force.
what Is a physical quantity?
A physical quantity is a feature of something which
can be measured.
Examples :
SI UNITs
• SI unit is an international
system of measurements that
are used universally in
technical and scientific
research to avoid the
confusion with the units.
why do we need SI unit?
• The SI covers units for every type of measurement,
but at the heart of the SI is a set of seven units known
as the 'base units'.
Independent, dependent and
controled variables
definitions

In an experiment, the independent variable is the thing that we change to find a

Independent
different result.

Analyses were performed using depressive symptom score as the dependent

Dependent
variable.

Essentially, a control variable is what is kept the same throughout the experiment,
Controlled
and it is not of primary concern in the experimental outcome.
