The attention of the District Panchayat Officers in the State is invited to
the subject cited.

It is informed that the Government vide references 1st to 3rd above,

have issued instructions from time to time with regard to categorization of
Gram Panchayats in the State. Accordingly, the District-wise categorization of
Gram Panchayats in the State is maintained at HOD level and the cadre-
strength is also maintained.
Basing on the District-wise categorization of Gram Panchayats
(Grade-I to Grade-IV) , the District Panchayat Officers have done the Mandal-
wise and G.P-wise categorization of Gram Panchayats and accordingly, the
transfers within the district are being taken up by them. But, there is no
authenticity for the said distribution as the District Level Gazette Publication
was not done.

In view of the above, the District-wise and category-wise Gram

Panchayats of the Erstwhile Districts from P.S.Grade-I to P.S.Grade-IV
(Including Additional Grade-IV) is hereby communicated to the District
Panchayat Officers and they are directed to take-up the Mandal-wise
categorization basing on the Population duly confining to the Erstwhile
District-wise categorization treating the remaining Gram Panchayats having
population more than 500 as Grade-V.

The District Panchayat Officers of erstwhile districts are directed to draft

their Administrative Officers and concerned Assistants to attend the Office of
Commissioner, PR& RD, Tadepalli along-with one Computer Operator and the
data of Gram Panchayat-wise Population (Census-2011) on the dates
specified below:

Further, the District Panchayat Officers of the new Districts are

instructed to depute concerned Assistant dealing with Panchayat Secretaries
Establishment to workout the respective new Districts Panchayat
Categorization from out of the cadre strength of erstwhile Districts.

of work as the Government have issued G.O.Ms.No.11, PR&RD (Mdl.I)
Department, dated:15.02.2024 and the positioning of Panchayat Secretaries is
held-up due to problem due to fixing the Grade-wise Cadre Strength.
