EVENT PROCESS
Attention is drawn to the lesson by entering the class with a model sculpture work. Brainstorming is
done about what the statue looks like, then interaction is started with questions such as where, how,
and when it might have lived in order to recognize the character. Then, the future of Artist Barış
Karayazgan is announced to our class tomorrow regarding this work.

Students are asked to guess the length of the wire, which serves as the skeleton system in the
sculpture work. The predictions made are written on the board by the students. Actual length is
measured by students in meters. Estimated result and actual results are written on the board.

After a summary of the work done in the previous lesson, how to measure with a meter is discussed.
The length of the wire is measured with the pupil. Each student makes practical length measurements
using the tape measure. It is explained what we should pay attention to when measuring. Thus,
students learn to measure with meters.

The difference between the actual result and the estimated result is calculated and written on the
board. Thus, students understand how accurate their predictions are. It will also be a study that
contributes to the development of estimation skills.

The game I prepared about web2 tools related to meters and centimeters is played to reinforce the
exercises in our lesson. Thus, the student understands the relationship between meters and
centimeters and learns to write these units in terms of each other.

Artist Barış Karayazgan, who was invited to the class in the Visual Arts class, comes. After the artist is
invited to the class and introduced in the classroom environment, the activity is completed and the
work is completed. In the sculpture making workshop, each student makes one sculpture work.

Again, as a study supporting the interdisciplinary approach, students are asked to write a story about
these sculptures made in the Turkish lesson. The student writes stories, uses upper and lower case
letters appropriately, and develops the ability to write short stories. At the same time, all students
read the story they wrote paying attention to emphasis, intonation and pronunciation.
