EVENT PROCESS
It is asked what is the biggest source of heat and light, from which side it rises and from which side it
sinks. After the answers received, it is said that the direction of birth is called east, the direction of
sunset is called west, the front is called north, and the back is south.
By going to the school garden, the direction where the sun rises and sets is shown.
A stick is planted in the garden and it is observed that the shadow is the shortest at noon and points
north.
The shadow length is measured with the standard measurement tool by associating it with the
mathematics lesson. The result is expressed in cm.

Information is given about the trip and observation to the previously planned Kent Forest.
How do we find our way in nature? An anthill is explained to the students in order to observe the
algae on trees and stones.
You can go to Mersin City Forest by vehicles. Anthills, tree and stone moss are studied with students.
It is observed that the doors of the ant nests point to the south and the ground part to the south.
Examine tree and stone moss. It is observed that it points north.
Spider nests were encountered and it was stated that they point to the north.
Students have noted down your observation results in their notebooks.
The question of what we should pay attention to in the natural forest area was asked and the
necessary answers were received and a return was provided.
