Describe a beautiful place you have visited in your country.

You should say:

When you visited it

Who you went with

What you did there

And explain why you think the place is so beautiful.

I would like to share with you today is about my first visit to Hoi An Ancient Town,
which is located in Quang Nam province – a central region of Vietnam. Hoi An is widely
known as the most prosperous South East Asian trading port in 19th century and has been
declared as UNESCO Heritage Site.

Actually, it was a part of the trip to Da Nang with my family 2 years ago on a summer
break. At that time, I never thought that I could have a wonderful experience here. When
we reached Hoi An Town by car, the first things which blew me away were the
breathtaking view and the tranquil atmosphere of this place. The whole town is filled
with hundreds single-storey houses along with yellow paint, which gave me the warm
ambience and reminded us about the living of people in the past. We visited some
heritage buildings with ancient architectural style, a Japanese-designed bridge, called
Temple Bridge and merchant houses, where you can shop around and buy some unique
souvenir for friends.

Of course when visit Hoi An, it would be a huge mistake if I don’t mention the cuisine
here, which is s distinctive feature. The food is amazing without any doubt. I had a
chance to try some delicious local specialities such as pork pancakes, “Cao Lau” and so
on. When the night falling, the old-fashioned lanterns were lighted up the town together
with cool weather had created a picturesque scenery.

Perhaps the thing I love most about Hoi An Ancient Town is the slow pace of life here, it
helps me to get away from the hustle and bustle routine and escapes from the heat in city.
I really enjoy my time in Hoi An and it is a beautiful preserved historical town.
Hopefully, I’ll soon have another chance to pay this town another trip.
