Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the economic status of parent and or guardian of

Davao City National High. Specifically, this study aims to answer the following

questions.

1. What is the economic status of parents’/guardians of Davao City National

High School in terms of:

1.1 primary source of income

1.2 monthly income

2. What is the employment background of parents/guardians of Davao City

National High School in terms:

2.1 employment status

2.2 job stability


CHAPTER 2

Method

This chapter presents the method and procedure used in the conduct of

the study. It comprised the research design, research locale, research

respondents, research instruments, data gathering procedure, and data analysis.

The respondents of this study were all Araling Panlipunan teachers of the

three big well performing national high schools in Davao City. These teachers

were selected by their department heads as respondents of this study because

they were exposed and experienced school-based learning action cell in their

school.

Sample:

The research tool that was used in this study was the modified, adapted

LAC session monitoring tool of Cluster 1, Division of Davao City which was

validated by three validators and piloted in Davao City National High School, and

teacher’s performance evaluation tool which is adopted from the Individual

Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF) of the Department of

Education.

Part 1 contained statements that measure the level of implementation of

Social Studies Learning Action Cell. This portion of the instrument had 21 items

statement and had the following indicators: discussion and identification of topics,

implementation process, monitoring and evaluation, and impact and results. Its

focus is to measure the level of effectiveness of Social Studies Learning Action

Cell.

Ayon sa sarbey na aming ginawa ang may pinaka mataas na resulta sa

mga pangunahing pinagkukunan ng kita o sweldo ay ang salary/ employment na

may __50_%. Ito ay nangangahulugan na ____________________. Batay sa


employment rate noong 2023, mas tumaas ang porsyento ng may trabaho sa

Pilipinas. Tumaas ito ng mahigit 2% kumpara sa taong 2022. Bukod pa dito, ayon

naman sa datos tungkol sa employment rate sa Davao City, mas tumaas din ito

ng 4% kumpara noong pandemya (source, year?).

Ito ay nagpapahiwatig na mas marami ang may trabaho sa kasalukuyan

kaysa noon na siyang dahilan kung bakit ang employment/salary ang may

pinakamataas na resulta sa aming sarbey. Maaring maiugnay ito sa mga

isinagawang job fair ng pamahalaan na lumikha ng maraming trabaho.

CHAPTER 4

Summary, Conclusions and Recommendations

This chapter presents the summary of findings and conclusions derived

from the study, as well as recommendations formulated based on the data from

the results and conclusions.

The study was conducted to determine the relationship between

implementation of School-Based Learning Action Cell to the School Performance

of Araling Panlipunan Teachers. The study utilized a quantitative research,

specifically correlational design. The study used a two-part survey questionnaire.

The first part was adapted and modified Learning Action Cell (LAC) session

monitoring tool of cluster 1, Division of Davao City. The tool has been validated

and tested to ensure the appropriateness of the content. The second part was the

teacher’s performance evaluation tool which is adopted from the Individual

Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF) of the Department of

Education.
Findings of the study are as follows:

The study reveals that the implementation of school-based learning action

cell has significant relationship with the school performance of Araling Panlipunan

teachers. The overall mean score of the level of implementation of School-Based

Conclusions

Based on the results, hereunder were the conclusions drawn by the


researcher:

The Learning Action Cell (LAC) session was fully implemented and it is

totally practiced and observed. This learning action cell really provides opportunity

to Araling Panlipunan teachers to share and gain insights as they continuously

grow professionally.

The Araling Panlipunan teachers’ performance showed that they were very

committed to attain the standards set by the Department of Education and the

result reveals that teachers are highly proficient and consistently display a high

level of performance in their teaching practice.

There was a significant relationship between the Learning Action Cell

(LAC) session and the Araling Panlipunan teachers’ performance. However, not

all were affected because of the unsatisfactory result in the Plus Factor of the

Araling Panlipunan teachers.


A proposed intervention program was conceptualized to strengthen the

lowest performance rating of Araling Panlipunan teachers. The activities

workshops/training to be made and implemented should focus on that area to

intensify teachers’ involvement.
