ANALYZE
Your findings and recommendations in the Learner Development Profile will
help you answer the questions here.
1. From your home visit and interview, what do you think is the style of
parenting experienced by the learner? Explain your answer.
During my interview as I observe the parenting style is not so strict with
children and the in the house and at school there is different because the child
if she is in the is she always handling her celphone but in school you can’t see
she handling cellphone if not a vacant time she very shy child when it comes
class activity. Because in her house she’s free what she do because her parents
is not always in house because her parents need to work hard to give the needs
of their kids. Somethimes the parents can’t give their full time attention to
their children and monitor it. But the best thing that I observe is even the
mother and father of the family didn’t give full time attention with the children
but the unity and love is work with the family.

2. Relating your data with what you learned from child development, what
family factors do you think contribute to the development and over-all
adjustment of the learner in school?
I think is if the parents support their children on their educational needs, for
sure the children will perform well better than other. Because the children is it
can motivate to be good performer at school because of the support of their

4|Field Study
parents. But based in my observation the students that I was interview is she
cooperate the activity of the school she is always the highlight/model of their
classmates when it comes in dance activity. Even in class performance.

3. Does the communication between the home-school have an effect on the

learner? If yes, what are these effects?
Yes, because education begins at home. Parents were always the best teacher
of their children. It is good that parents should be responsible and vigilant
enough to guide their children into a better education. Because when we was a
child our parents can teach us how to walk, stand, even in numbers he/she
teach us how count number and he/she teach us to know the colors. Our
parents are our first teacher when we our child.

4. How can the teacher partner with the community to contribute to the
development and learning of the students? Who are the people or which
institutions can the teacher tap to seek advice regarding the development and
learning of students
Since the teacher is considered as the second parents in school, they can
contribute to the development and learning of the students by conducting a
seminar in school where the topic is shall about child development and their
attitudes or they can convey it through lectures. The teacher can ask advice to
the principal in school or directly to their students parents.

REFLECT
1. Reflect on your own development as a child. What tye of parenting did you
experience? How did it affect you?

When I was a child my mother is the one who contrate in our study. Guiding
my assignments, projects and other school activities. This inspire me to teach
others also and share my knowledge like my mother did. When I was a child,
my mother was the one who focused on our studies. She guided me in my
assignments, projects, and other school activities. This inspired me to teach
others and share my knowledge, just like my mother did. Even when she
wasn’t around, my mother would always remind me to continue reading. She
would constantly motivate me to pursue my dreams, emphasizing that
education would be my key to success, no matter what obstacles I faced. I am
grateful for the support and encouragement of my parents, which has shaped
me into the person I am today.

2. As a future teacher, how would you establish good home – school

collaboration? How can you work well with the parents? How can you help
them? How can they help you?

5|Field Study
As a future teacher, I think that establishing home-school collaboration is
a vital process in enhancing students' achievement. Parents and the
school must work together to assist the child's growth and
development by sharing information ,experiences, and support that will
promote the child's healthy development. Parent has an important role in
their child’s learning development. If I will become a teacher someday, I will
choose to call up the attention of every parents and have a seminar in regards
to their children’s needs: psychologically and emotionally. I believe that if it is
possible, I can visit their homes every Saturday to assist as a teacher. I can
conduct home visits with my students' parents to collaborate with them.
