ANALYZE

Are the learning resources/materials arranged properly according to their functions and
characteristics?

I believe that the resources/materials are correctly ordered according to their roles and qualities
because they are well located, structured, and executed, and there is someone in charge
ofmonitoring and ensuring that all resources are safe and ready to use. Computers are well-
ventilated, and doors are dust-free. There are also procedures in place to prevent the misuse of
resources and materials.

Do the guidelines and procedures facilitate easy access to the materials by the teacher? Why?
Why not?

Yes. Guidelines and procedures promote simple access to materials in a way that ensures that
everyone has equitable access to the materials or resources. To ensure that everyone is
accommodated, the resource center has placed some limitations on computer use. If the students
plan to take the book with them, they merely need to fill out a borrowing form.

What are the strengths of this Learning Resource center?

The learning resource center's strengths, in my opinion, are that it is highly conducive since it is well-
lit, well-ventilated, and very clean. The resources and materials are up to date with the most recent
technological advancements.

What are its weaknesses?

Probably, one of its weaknesses is that the books in the library are perhaps a little limited because it
is merely an extension school campus, unlike to the SSCT main library, which has a wide range of
books to pick from. Aside from books, it is likely that students who visit the library do so for reasons
other than reading and research. Instead, they visit for relaxation due to available aircons.

3|Field Study
What suggestions can you make?

The cleanliness and learning environment of the learning resource center should be maintained.
Always ensure that the resources and materials are verified and updated on a regular basis.

REFLECT

1. Which of the materials in the Learning Resource Center caught your interest the most?
Why ?

The availability of a computer for research is one of the learning resources that has caught
my interest the most. Computers with internet access give immense quantities of knowledge
and data that will greatly aid students' learning. Unlike in the past, when students relied
solely on books and other written materials.

2. Which gadgets/materials are you already confident to use/operate?

For me, the computer is the most comfortable piece of technology since I've been using it for
many years and already know how to use it, and it's incredibly simple and easy to use. and it
is vital nowadays, it is a need.

3. Which ones do you feel you need to learn more about?

I think the material that I need to learn about is the installation of projector during reporting
time. It is definitely because I have electrophobia which causes me to be afraid of plugging in
electric cables and that I find it difficult to overcome.

Use the Technology Integration Form To analyze the class you observed. Refer to the Technology
Integration Matrix on p. 123, In which level of technology integration do you think the teacher you
observed operated? Why?

The level of technology integration of the resource teacher I observed operated was under
the Transformation level. This because the teacher has created a rich learning environment
in which the learners are regularly and actively engage in activities that would have been
impossible to achieve without technology.

Based on the Technology Integration Matrix, what is the characteristic of the learning
environment in the class that you observed? Point your observation that justify your answer.

Based on the Technology Integration Matrix, the characteristic of the learning environment
in the class that I observed, it is Constructive. With the aid of the technology, learners were
able to use technology to construct or build their own understanding rather than simply
receiving information from the teacher. The technology serves as tool for the learners to
discover and create their own ideas and understanding. It aids them in the whole teaching
and learning process.

Over-all were the learning resources used effectively? Why? Why not? Give your suggtions.

Overall, the learning resources were used effectively. The resources serve it purpose and that
is to aid in the teaching and learning process. It help the teacher to create a learning
environment that learners could learn with their classmate.

1. Put yourself in the place of the teacher. What would you do similarly and what would you
do differently if you would teach the same lesson to the same group of students? Why?

If I were the resource speaker I would do the same strategies as asking one by one the ideas
of the learners regarding the topic. I would utilize the space of the room to let learners work
with their groupmates

1. Describe your experience in surfing the internet for appropriate electronic resources for the
class? What made it easy? Difficult?

Due to my early exposure to the use of internet and easy access to it, I have been able
toexplore things out of interest and inquisitiveness which trained and equipped me with the
skills tominimize a number of different resources leading to only those with
accurate content. Thoughsometimes, especially in my current life, details that I need to

2. How did you choose which electronic resources to include here? What did you consider?
Explain. Which of the new trends in Education 4.0 would you like to explore more for your
work as a teacher? Why?

There are things we need to consider when deciding on what electronic resources we
willinclude in the class. First is its relevance to the learning objectives of our lesson, it is
important het theactivities or information you will use from the internet should be aligned
with the goal of the subjectmatter, the availability and accessibility of the electronic
resources should also be taken into account. The electronic resource should also be
developmentally appropriate to your students. This means that we also need to think about
the age and the intellectual capacity of the children. Lastly, we should alsotake in
consideration of the probability of the electronic resource being useful to the students.

3. Reflect on your technology skills. What skills do you already have, and what skills would you
continue work on to be better at utilizing education 4.0 resources?

10 | F i e l d S t u d y
I am skillful enough in terms of basic technology skills such as word processing,
spreadsheet, electronic presentation, file management, and window explorer, window
management, and computerrelated devices. Aside from these, I also have the ability to easily
know how to use applications of avariety of electronic devices. For me, these are important
skills which I need to be able to utilize andmaximize the available electronic resources. As of
now, I like to learn more about installing computersoftware onto a computer system, and
audio and video editing. As a student, it would be very nice andhelpful for me to know
installment of new program. In addition to that, the availability of newprograms could
lead to better utilization of various electronic resources.
