Foro de discusión. Demostratives

Descripción: The student will answer the questions in the discussion forum about
demonstratives. This activity will allow you to produce basic conversations or interactions in
a simple way, as well as writing, in areas and situations of immediate need on familiar topics
where the communication is limited.

Ver: Consider the following guiding questions to develop the activity:

How do you use “demonstratives” in affirmative, negative, and interrogative?

What do you need to know if you want to talk about your room?

Juzgar: Check the following resources and based on a thorough reading, do the following.

● Page 20 “Adjetivos demostrativos” of the book “Introducción a la Gramática


Inglesa”.
● Page 38 “Demonstratives Adjectives and Pronouns” of the book “Elements of
English Grammar”.

Take notes or underline the most important concepts in order to elaborate your contributions.
Also, carry out additional research on true and reliable sources of information that allow you
to complement the information.

Actuar: Based on the information reviewed and the consultation of the infographic of the
week, participate in the discussion forum, considering the following aspects:

1. Develop the following activity in the discussion forum, for this you must take into
account the criteria listed below:

● Describe your room using demonstratives (minimum 10 sentences).

● Describe, specifically, what you find on your nightstand, using demonstratives


(minimum 5 sentences).

● Leave a question formulated for one of your classmates to answer through reply,
for example: What is the color of the walls in your room?

2. Check the platform at the times indicated by the teacher and participate in the forum:
“Demonstratives”, answering the questions indicated above.

3. Participate in the following ways:

● Intervention 1: Write your answers considering the topic.


● Intervention 2: Select at least two of your classmates, and after reading your
activity in detail, answer the question proposed at the end, using demonstratives.

Devolución creativa-metacognición: After doing the activity, think about the importance
of knowing the uses of demonstratives, to achieve fluid communication in a second
language.

and guide the participation in the forum, guiding the interaction process using
demonstratives. Likewise, the tutor will clarify concerns, expand concepts, provide feedback
and, finally, evaluate the activity according to the criteria established in the rubric.

For your contribution consider:

● The comment must be constructive and make use of the topics seen.

● Interact in the forum complementing the comments of two of your classmates, in


a respectful way.
● Consult the rubric to know in detail the evaluation criteria.

To start your participation in the forum, click Add a new discussion topic. In Subject write
the title of your participation. Then, in the Message section write your contribution. When
finished, click Post to Forum.
