1.Clean the filter mounting surface of the oil
filter bracket.
2.Apply engine oil to the O-ring of the oil
filter.
3.Using general service tool Oil filter wrench,
Install the oil filter to the bracket and tighten
it to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 22 ± 2 N·m
4.If a torque wrench cannot be used use the
following procedure.
(1) Screw in the oil filter until its o-ring
contacts the oil filter bracket.
(2) Tighten the oil filter 3/4 turn.
3. For the specified tightening torque, refer to the
caution label attached on the oil filter.
4. Tighten the oil filter until the gasket contacts with
the installation surface.
5. In the same manner as removal, use special tool
oil filter wrench (MB993041 <Φ74 mm type oil
filter> or MH061590 <Φ102 mm type oil filter>) or
commercially-available tool to tighten the oil filter
to the specified torque.

3.Screw the oil filter in and tighten the oil

Tightening torque: 22 ± 2 N·m <approx.
3/4 turn>

2. Tighten the engine oil pressure switch terminal
mounting screw to the specified torque.

1. Clean the oil filter installing surface on the cylinder
block side.

3. For the specified tightening torque, refer to the

4. Tighten the oil filter until the gasket contacts with

1. Start the engine and allow it to warm up until the
temperature of the coolant reaches 80 °C to 90 °C.
2. Remove the oil filler cap.
3. Remove the under skid plate and engine room
under cover front (Refer to GROUP 51 − Under Cover ).

WARNING
Use care as oil could be hot.
4. Remove the oil drain plug to drain oil.

tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 39  5 Nm
6. Install the under skid plate and engine room under
