Introduction
The director has asked me to write this report to try to identify potential issues working with our
partner – the Brazilian company, Media Sales BR.This report looks at the results of a recent
audit of our sales and technical teams. Finally, it will make recommendations.
Findings
It was found that only 70 percent of our overseas sales staff speak fluent English and none of
the technical team speaks Portuguese. One of the key problems is these teams will need to work
in these languages with our Brazilian colleagues in three months’ time.
Recommendations
It is therefore recommended that we organise on-site training courses in English and
Portuguese. Our aims are to train all members of the technical team in Portuguese and provide
English classes for some overseas sales staff . The managers of these teams should have three
weeks off work to attend full-time,intensive courses. It is hoped these courses will be run in the
US and Brazil. We might therefore need to allocate extra budget for flights and accommodation.
