REVIEW OF LITERATURE: Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have emerged as a
prominent strategy for poverty alleviation in rural communities across
developing countries. This review examines the existing literature to evaluate
the impact of SHGs on sustainable poverty reduction in these regions.
Ruchika, and Kapoor, S. (2020) in their study revealed the need for micro loans
for the local population. This process included identifying the type of loan
needed, the desired loan amount, and the intended use of the borrowed
funds. Ruchika and Kapur highlight the fact that microfinance and
demographic needs are interdependent. This highlights the importance of

effectiveness of SHGs in spreading financial inclusion and poverty alleviation.
