Subject - Appeal against auction notice No. 3083-85 dated- 30-01-2023

passed by BDO Mendhar and request for extension of contract
period for 6 months in favour of appellant.

MAY IT PLEASE YOUR HONOURS;

The appellant most respectfully submits as under:-

1. That the BDO Mendhar auctioned the Bus Adda Mendhar for a
period of one year when the appellant took the bid for Rs 15 Lakh
and was awarded the contract bearing No. BM/2021-22/2797-
2804 dated- 14-02-2022.
2. That I could not recover the bid amount as the income guaranteed
by the collection of entry tax could hardly generate upto 5-6 lakh
despite my best efforts.
3. That I belong to ST community and come from a very poor family. I
have deposited the bid amount after taking loan from different
sources and now I am unable to liquidate that amount unless the
period of contract is exytended for 6 months.
4. That the BDO Mendhar has not extended the contract despite my
request and has announced the date of auction on Sunday 06-02-
2023 which could cause huge financial loss to the appellant.
5. That under chapter 4 of Panchayati Raj Act, you are designated as
prescribed authority for the purposes of the subject mentioned
therein.
 6. That under section 17 of the Panchayati Raj Act, an appeal can lie
to the prescribed authority. There is no direction by Halqa
Panchayat as such imposing the fee or restricting the period of
contract for 1 year.

IN THE PREMISES-

It is most humbly prayed that your honour may

be pleased to kindly direct BDO Mendhar to grant extention of the
period of contract for a period of 6 months and not to conduct
auction on 06-02-2023.
