One motivational theory that can complement the retention efforts is Herzberg's Two-Factor
Theory, also known as the Motivation-Hygiene Theory. According to this theory, there are
two sets of factors: hygiene factors (such as salary, working conditions, company policies,
and interpersonal relationships) and motivators (such as recognition, responsibility,
advancement opportunities, and meaningful work).
For retaining employees in the long run, emphasizing motivators like recognition and
advancement opportunities aligns well with Herzberg's theory. So, we offer various
recognition programs for all our employees by Recognizing employees for their contributions
through rewards, promotions, and meaningful work assignments Therefore, integrating
Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Theory into the compensation structure can help create a
work environment that fosters long-term employee retention.
