Aseptic with no patient contact
procedures may include:
Preparation of IV fluids and medications:·
Mixing of IV fluids and medication·
What’s a dirty object? Priming of IV fluids·
Anything that can be contaminated with Priming of total parenteral nutrition (TPN)

ie: garbage bins, duster, toilet brush,
used rags, dirty dry or wet mop heads,
dust pans, dirty microfibre, dust broom,
etc
Aseptic direct contact with the patient
Not “dirty”: procedures may include:
