Review of the Lesson

past lesson. So, anyone who can tell

about?

Okay, very good (name of the

I’m glad that you still remember your

last topic. Before we start let us have
a quick activity.

B. Motivation

of paper will do and write a question
that you want to ask your seatmate.

Are you done?

Yes, sir
Okay now give it to your seatmate and
you will open, read and answer it later Yes, sir
in the middle of our discussion. Is that
clear?

Okay, so before we officially begin our

discussion for today let me present
you my rules whenever you are in my
class.

The first rule is to refrain from causing

distractions during class hours, that
includes the using of phones and
going out to take a leak.

The second rule is, when there is

someone speaking, lend your ears
and listen so that when it is your time
to speak, they will also listen.

The last rule is to respect everyone at

all times.
Is that clear?

Okay very good Yes, sir

Before we start let me just present

you our objectives for today

At the end of the lesson, the students

should be able to:
a. identify communication for
information purposes
b. exhibit understanding on the
component of the various purposes of
communication for information
purposes
c. deliver effective speeches relevant
to disseminating information

C. Activity

Okay, now let me ask you a question.

In your activity earlier, do you think
that asking question and answering it Yes sir, it is important because it is
is important? And why? one way to gain knowledge.

Yes, sir because it is one way to

Very good, its great to see that you determine and solve problems.
have different opinions with regards to
this matter.

D. Abstraction

Now let us move on with our

discussion. Our topic for today is all
about implicit and explicit information

Implicit information is indirectly stated

or implied.

Okay, repeat after me, Implicit

information is indirectly stated or
implied.
Implicit information is indirectly stated
Next one, explicit information is or implied.
directly stated and spelled out.

Repeat after me, explicit information is

directly stated and spelled out.

Okay very good. explicit information is directly stated

and spelled out.
Now let’s go back to implicit
information. We said that implicit
information is indirectly stated or
implied. For example, Benedict asked Yes, sir
me if I watched fast and the furious
movie, and I answered, I don’t like
playing it two times.
I basically implied that I already
watched it. So that is implicit
information. Is it clear?

Now for explicit information, again for

example, Benedict asked me if I
watched fast and the furious movie
and I answered, Of course I have
watched it because I have an interest
in cars.

I basically told him that I watched it

without any confusion. That is explicit
information, is that clear?
Yes, sir
Okay very good, are there any
questions about explicit and implicit
information?
None, sir
E. Analysis

Since none of you have any

questions. I will be the one to ask.

(Name of student) What is implicit

information?

Sir, implicit information is an

Very good (name of student) information that is indirectly stated or
is implied.
How about (name of student) what is
explicit information?

Very good (name of student) Sir, explicit information is an

information that is directly stated.
Okay very good. I think you’re ready
to take it to the next level of this
lesson. So, let us have an activity.

F. Application

Do you still have the paper that your

seatmate gave you earlier?

Okay, so I want you to answer the Yes, sir

question that your seatmate gave you.
By answering it with one implicit
information and one explicit
information.

Okay are you done?

Okay pass it forward, do not forget to

put your name on the paper that you Yes, sir
are holding.

I think you are already geared up to

proceed with our assessment, with
that kindly bring out ¼ sheet of pad
paper.

IV. ASSESSMENT

Instructions: Study the picture. Afterward, read carefully the written

information that follows. Based on the picture, which of the given information
