I AM GOD ALONE
It is the 1st Commandment.

In Genesis we read that God creates EVERYTHING, stands to reason that God would
reject all efforts to worship His creation instead of Himself.

In addition, the words I have brought you out of slavery, seem to take on added
significance.

We have been redeemed and since we are now sons /daughters of the Covenant should
walk in obedience to that Covenant.

Exodus 20.1-2 “And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the LORD your God, who
brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other
gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of
anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water
under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God
am a jealous God visiting, the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the
fourth generation of those who hate Me but showing steadfast love to thousands of those
who love Me and keep My Commandments.”

God’s authority is above ALL ELSE …

He is self-existent
He is independent
He is eternal
He is the creator

Psalm 121:1-8 “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help
comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor
sleep. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun
shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your life. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this
time forth and forevermore.”

Therefore, He has a right to claim authority over that which He made … He took
NOTHING and made something out of NOTHING.

And now declares that we as humans cannot claim it for ourselves.

When we take creation and make idols / worship it, then we are usurping God’s
authority over His creation.

The Commandment says “give back to God that which He owns”.

All scripture is good and profitable - so nothing that is prescribed / defined in the
WORD can be ignored.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be
complete, equipped for every good work.”

Being free men requires that we are DILIGENT with our FREEDOM of
CHOICE

It’s important to look at the Hebrew words here, to better understand the significance of
these statements.

The Hebrew word for “craved image” is Strong’s 6459

pesel • a chiseled form

The Hebrew word for “serve” is Strong’s 5647

abad • to serve
• to work (how this work is defined as an OBLIGATION)

The Hebrew word for “iniquity” is Strong’s 5771

avon • perversity
• depravity
• iniquity

The picture word in ancient Hebrew is a twisted rope … twisted actions

Summary
People who make an image out of wood / stone are being FORCED to work for that
image with twisted actions - perversity.

Modern day idols / images

Mankind has moved away from the physical image of BA’AL AND ASTRATE / MOLECH.

The idols / gods have transformed in to new forms of activity, while maintaining the same
character attributes.

i) Ba’al

Ba’al (translated as “the lords” ➛ the masters ➛ the owners), is being worshiped with the
raging bull as a raving / emblem at Wall Street and all other stock exchanges … the
pursuit of riches is a return to the time of the Golden Calf.

The degree of inequity in the economic world has never been worse … the level of
corruption has never been greater and men and women (who now want equal
opportunity), have sacrificed health and family in an effort to acquire the greatest wealth.

The Greek word for idol, is “techne” and is it not interesting the degree to which
technology, computers, phones etc. have become an obsession.

ii) Astarte / Ashtoreth, the queen of Heaven

The rule breather - the goddess of the pubs and the goddess of carnality and sexuality.

From a time when such topics were never mentioned, until today when we see an
explosion in the level of pornography, the breakdown of family values, the destruction of
marriages or rather the level of a lack of marriage, reflects Astarte in all her glory.

iii) Molech - the destroyer

With the breakdown in family relationship, the high divorce rate and the high level of
promiscuity, we can see the introduction of Molech, with the various laws of abortion that
were introduced.

The world system has reintroduced these ancient gods … idols in a transformed form into
the world and many people are busy worshipping these idols / images / gods. We have
made ”religions” of our hearts desires.

Simply said, don’t think that because you have removed the images of Buddha or some
other stone / wooden god, that you are living in line with God’s Will.

Your own heart can deceive you … find out what it is that consumes most of your time
and you will be able to identify your craven image.

Prayer
ABBA FATHER,

I come before You today, to acknowledge that You alone are Creator of this world and that
I have allowed my own desires, ego and thinking to believe that I am able to serve “other”
gods.

I repent for following after “ba’al“ in the pursuit of riches … of serving the world system of
finance / the raging bull of the stock exchange.

I repent of allowing the system of Ba’al to take over all of my thoughts to such an extent
that I had no trouble misusing / abusing people in order to build this kingdom.

I repent of being part of using drugs, not taking a stand against the drug kingdoms and
contributing to the pursuit of riches at the expense of others.

I repent for following after Astarte in building an alternate deity of flesh. I repent for not
maintaining the integrity of marriage - for being involved in illicit and unlawful relationships
that destroyed the sanctity of marriage.

I repent for promoting / financing and spreading the image of any promiscuous
relationships through pornography.

I repent for not standing up against the evil of woman & child abuse and trafficking which
forms part of this kingdom.

I repent for allowing Molech to be visible in my part of this world, by failing to take a stand
against all forms of sacrifice;

• the abortion clinics

• the humanistic system that promotes / allows human misery
… as I pursue a path to achieve my own egotistical goals.

I repent of making everything in life that I do, to be more important that building a relation
ship with You. I acknowledge that I did not make my own oil, neither did I burn the oil of life
so that others my see the image of You oh God.

I repent for taking the idea of “freedom of choice” to be used in pursuit of my own desires
and to be used in building my own kingdom.

I recognise that I have led many people astray in this process and caused much confusion
in people’s lives when I have been busy with my own kingdom while covering this plan with
a veneer of godliness, thereby allowing people be believe that I had YOUR blessing.

I repent for the hurt and woundedness that I have caused in other people’s lives by the
manner in which I treated them.

I petition that You will forgive me and allow me to repair the damage caused in those lives.
Please help me to make restitution to those who have suffered by the wrong-doing that I
have presented as an image of the Kingdom of God.

I recognise that I have a responsibility to reflect YOUR Glory only and that I must lay down
my own goals to serve You with diligence, in Spirit and Truth.

Numbers 6:24-27

May YHVH bless you and keep you.

May YHVH make His Face shine on you and show you His favour.

Yissa YHVH panav eleikha v’yasem l’kha shalom.

May YHVH lift up His Face toward you and give you peace.

Numbers 6:27 “In this way they are to put My Name on the people of Isra’el, so that I will
Bless them.”
