SI-PFB-20-01-MTTB AND SI-PFB-20-01-ASP COMPONENTS CARE AND
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING OF ALL PLASTIC BARREL COMPONENTS
1. Made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a recyclable plastic that will never need to be
painted or stained. It will not rot or splinter, and it contains an added UV protective agent to resist
fading. The Barrel material is not affected by most corrosive substances and will not promote
bacterial growth. It is Flame retardant (although when exposed to direct open flame it will melt),
chemical resistant and will not absorb water.
2. To clean all plastic components in the system, clean it after each use with soap and water.
• Use only nonabrasive soaps, such as a mild dishwashing detergent.
• In extreme situations spray the furniture thoroughly with a nonabrasive cleaner then scrub
the furniture using a soft bristle brush and rinse it off with warm clean water.
• If needed spray the furniture with nonabrasive cleaner and wash it using a high-pressure
washer.
DO NOT PLACE THE TIP OF YOUR PRESSURE WASHER CLOSER THAN 8”-
12” FROM THE COMPONENTS, AS IT COULD SCAR THE MATERIAL
1. Wipe off any excess dirt or grime on the nylon webbing with a damp cloth or sponge.
2. Mix a small amount of mild dish detergent with warm water. Dip the sponge in the mixture and
wring out the excess liquid.
3. Scrub the nylon webbing with the sponge in a back-and-forth motion. Rinse the sponge in the
soapy water as necessary, wring it out and start scrubbing again.
4. Rinse the nylon webbing with clean water.
5. Towel dry as best as you can and then hang up the nylon webbing to air dry.
6. Do not place it in the sun or near any fumes as that can cause unseen damage and eventually
weaken the nylon webbing.
2. Ideally all nylon and hardware should be hung up and allowed to air dry, it is worth noting that
this out-in-the-open space is prime for collecting dust, especially if the gear does not move for a
while. Storing gear inside containers, in a closet, isolated from significant temperature swings and
UV from sunny windows, is your safest bet.
