Power station?
Power Stations
A Power Station is usually a large piece of equipment that is used to create
electrical power for distribution. Some examples would be Nuclear power plants
and Wind Turbines.
Coal Fire Power and Nuclear Power
Both coal fire power and nuclear power use the same method to create electricity.
They both boil water to a vapor which then is used to spin a turbine. The only
difference is what they use to produce the heat to boil the water. Nuclear power
uses the fission of either uranium or plutonium nuclei to generate heat. Fossil Fuel
power stations burn a chemical fuel such as coal.
Wind Power
Wind Turbines heavily rely on wind it is because of this it depends on the strength
of the wind (no wind no power). This kind of power is renewable. As well as that
wind turbines usually generate a lot less pollution unlike nuclear and coal power
stations because of how wind does not create any waste.
