5. Fire Fighting Measures

Extinguishing Media:
Carbon Dioxide, dry chemical or foam.
Special Fire-Fighting Procedures:
Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and full protective equipment must be worn.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards:
Fire or excessive heat may produce hazardous decomposition products.
Particular Hazards:
Inflammable. Vapors are heavier than air. Development of explosive mixtures with air possible,
even at normal temperatures. In case of fire, development of hazardous gases or fumes possible.

6. Accidental Release Measure

Small Spill:
Cover spilled material with an absorbing substance such as sand. Remove and place
spilled material into suitable container(s) for disposal in accordance with applicable
federal, state and local legislation.
Large Spill:
As above. Prevent spilled material from entering into life waters and community waste-water
systems.

Storage:
Store in a moderately cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sources of heat. Empty
containers may contain product residues and should be handled appropriately. Opened containers /
sacks should be securely closed or folded over and kept upright, in order to prevent leakage and
control contamination. Prevent material from electro - statical charging. Vapours are heavier than
air. Developement of explosive mixtures with air possible, even at normal temperatures.
