Glasses Objects worn on the face with glass or plastic lenses to
correct vision by covering the eyes.
Prescription Glasses to protect the eyes from sunlight but with corrective
sunglasses lenses to help the wearer to see better.
Contact lens Liquid to clean contact lenses.

Soft contact These lenses are flexible and allow oxygen to pass through

Sunglasses Worn to protect the eyes from strong sunlight.
Contact lens A small container to keep contact lenses safe when they are

Eye drops Liquid to put directly onto the eyes in very small quantities.
Bifocals Glasses with two different types of lenses incorporated into
the same frame.
Thick- Glasses which have a wider surround than normal, often to
rimmed incorporate special lenses.

Hard contact These type of lenses are not flexible and are useful for
lenses people who need to have their lenses made to a specific
shape.

Glasses A protective type of box to carry glasses in.

Bridge The piece of a pair of glasses which joins the two lenses and
fits on the nose.
Lens The glass or transparent parts of a pair of glasses which
correct vision.
Frame The part of a pair of glasses which surrounds the lenses.
Arms The parts of a pair of glasses which go from the lenses to the
ears.
Eyelid The thin skin which covers the eyeballs.
Eyelashes The small hairs which grow around the eyes.
Pupils The central, black parts of the eyeball. They contract and
expand to allow light to pass.
Iris The coloured part of the eye.
Tears The water which comes from the small holes in the corner of
the eyes.
