WITH A SENSORY DIET

Sensory plan for kids with red flags of Hypersensitivity

The below mentioned sensory plan help children to calm down through various sensory
strategies and when they are in an over stimulation state, these could be the best calming
sensory activities and could be part of their daily routine, or therapy activities for a healthy
living.
By engaging in these Sensory strategies Children can:
Improve self-regulation:Enhance self-control by mastering how to handle their reactions to
excessive sensory stimulation.
Improve concentration and attention: Minimize interruptions and boost capacity to focus on
activities.
Promote emotional well-being:Experience reduced feelings of frustration and being
overwhelmed, resulting in a more peaceful and optimistic emotional condition.

Morning Activities Morning sensory session should be at least for


30-40 mins.
• 20 mins Full body massage with any
• oil.
• Wilbarger’s brush (in the direction of
hair).
• 10-15 mins-Bare feet grass walking.
• TRY TO INTRODUCE ALL THSES ACTIVITIES
BEFORE BREAKFAST

Evening Evening sensory session should be at least for 1


hour on daily basis.
• 10 -15 mins of
treadmill/football/trampolining/Hammock
swing/scooter board/Rhythmic swing.
• Stretching on Gym ball (10-15 mins)
• Active seating while performing different
sensory activities on table top(for at least
30 mins daily)
• Active sitting can be done on small sized
gym ball, peanut ball, wobble cushions,
stability balls.
• Sensory activities like sensory bins,
making different shapes with fingers on
shaving crème, kinetic sand, play dough
,slimy play, water play, sensory bottles.
blowing bubbles, playing with a fidget,
deep breathing, sequin pillow, fluffy slime
,squeeze toy, playing with feathers,
sensory book, busy book.

Before sleeping • Wilbarger’s brush 10-15 mins .


• Full body massage 20-30 mins.
• Head massage 5 mins.
• Massage under feet 5 mins.
• Exposure to sensory lights while
lying on the bed.
• Weighted blankets should be used
while sleeping.

EXCESSIVE MOUTHING
BITING
HAND FLAPPING
SEEKING PRESSURE ON DIFFERENT AREAS
OF BODY
Continuous le movement while sitting on

VISUAL STIMMING
AUDITORY STIMMING
VOCAL STIMMING
