Consolidated Report:

I am very happy to send this Consolidated Report on Ph.D., thesis entitled

“WORK LIFE QUALITY OF AGENTS IN LIFE INSURANCE CORPORATION OF INDIA
– A STUDY WITH SPEECIAL REFERENCE TO SALEM DISTRICT OF TAMIL NADU”
submitted by Mr.R.Basrudeen for the degree of doctor of Philosophy in
Commerce Periyar University Salem, Tamil Nadu.

As per the Periyar University norms the thesis who sent to

Dr.Saryanarayana Parayiram as a foreign examiner and the same was sent to
Dr.J.Gayathri as an Indian examiner. Both the examiners have deeply studied
the thesis and sent their evaluation report to the university. I carefully went
through their report and hereby I present my consolidated report as a
convener.

Both the examiners should Stated about the well structured presentation
and documentation of the thesis. They previewed the thesis on the basis of the
objectives of the study and have appreciated the research methodology
adopted. As far as Indian examiner’s opinion is concerned the research has
been well presented, documented, extensively referred, systematically
prepared and meaningfully explained and finally rightly concluded. The Indian
examiner has also appreciated that the content and the title of the thesis are a
perfect match and a layman can also be benefited by this research. The analysis
has been done using suitable statistical tools and the results are very much
useful to the decision makers. The Indian examiner has highly recommended
this research for the award of Ph.D., degree.
 The foreign examiner in his report stated that the researcher has proceeded
in a good advancement of knowledge in this field he has also stated that the
thesis provides appropriate illustrations emphasizing on the real world
problems as a whole the foreign examiner has commenced that thesis is well
structure, easy to read, results are correct clear and clearly stated. However he
has pointed some queries to be clarified in viva voce examination such as

1. What is the purpose of conducting one sample t-test? Does it contribute

anything to research
2. The researcher has done factor analysis. But what is the purpose of it?
3. There is no conceptual model developed and tested by the researcher.

Similarly, 13 questions was asked by the foreign examiner in his evaluation

report.

The above said quarries must be classified by the researcher during viva
voce examination. Also the foreign examiner has recommended for the award
of Ph.D., degree to the university.

The conveners report also studied all the points which are stated by the
Indian and foreign examiners. Both the Indian and foreign examiners have
deeply studied the thesis and appreciated the efforts taken by the researcher
and researcher guide. Moreover, in their view, the thesis is highly
commented, public viva voce be conducted and Degree of Doctor of
Philosophy in Commerce may be awarded to the candidate.
