Abstract

Egypt has faced several grand challenges obstructing these goals, including Improving the scientific and
technological environment studying its impact on Egypt, and Improving the usage of alternative energy.
Subsequently, much effort has been made toward applying integrated solutions for those problems. The
problem to be solved in this project is increasing the alternative energy resources and producing energy
in the form of electricity. Hence, the purpose of this study is to generate electricity from the school’s
environment. The proposed solution is using the micro hydro generator and Peltier device to generate
electricity with wasted energy of water in the form of kinetic and heat energy that is used in useful
applications such as lighting up school buildings with no price. A prototype was made according to the
design requirements and tested successfully. More than 0.5 watts was produced from the prototype.
Also, the project cost is lower than the electricity output which means it's not costable. After analyzing
the results, the major conclusions were drawn that, the project outcomes were deemed modified as a
real new design that could be applied in the school’s bathrooms and kitchens that produce clean energy
without harming the environment.
