Setelah melihat berbagai contoh teks prosedur, sekarang, saatnya Saudara membuatnya.
Lakukanlah sebaik mungkin, karena teks yang Saudara hasilkan ini merupakan salah satu
komponen penilaian UTS dalam bentuk protofolio.
Untuk membantu penyusunan teks yang Saudara tulis, kolom pada worksheet 2.12 dapat
membantu Saudara.

“How to Make Fried Rice”

Ingredients :
2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or sesame oil)
1 small onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)
2 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Protein of choice (optional): chicken, shrimp, beef, tofu,
etc.

Steps :
Prepare Ingredients:
• Dice the onion and mince the garlic.
• If using fresh vegetables, chop them into small

pieces. If using frozen mixed vegetables, thaw them


beforehand.
• If adding protein, cut it into small bite-sized pieces.
Cook Protein (Optional):
• Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok
over medium-high heat.
• Add the protein and cook until it's fully cooked and
slightly browned. Remove from the skillet and set
aside.
Scramble Eggs:
• In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if necessary
and pour in the beaten eggs.
• Scramble the eggs until they're fully cooked.
Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté Vegetables:
• Add the remaining oil to the skillet.
• Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until
the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is
fragrant.
• Add the mixed vegetables and cook for a few
minutes until they are tender.
Add Rice:
• Add the cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any
clumps with a spatula. Stir-fry until the rice is
heated through.
Combine Ingredients:
• Add the scrambled eggs and cooked protein back
into the skillet with the rice and vegetables.
• Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and fish sauce
(if using).

• Drizzle with sesame oil.


• Stir well to ensure all ingredients are evenly mixed
and the rice is coated with the sauces.
Season and Garnish:
• Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
• Garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve:
• Serve hot, straight from the skillet.
