1 Any adventurous activity you

(Success Mantra Educare, Jalandhar M: 9988014800)

• Adventure plays a very important role in our life.
• Last month I went to Rishikesh, Uttarakhand for touring. It was about 200 Km from my home town.
Many adventurous activity points were being held at some of the touring spots.
I chose “River Rafting”. It was water sports in the river “Ganga”.
• There was a total of eight people sitting in a boat. One of them was a lifeguard.
• I wore a life jacket for safety. It was just 30 minutes floating in the river and we covered about 10
Kilometers downstream. Many times boat took very dangerous turns and drifted. I never expected that it
is such a breathtaking activity.
• Not only males but there were many ladies also those who wanted to experience it well.
• I could also see some teenagers too. It was a very thrilling experience for me.
• I could realize that nature is very powerful and unexpected.

Additional Question for practice

Q1 What adventure activities do you like?

There are tens of thousands of adventure activities that I like but the one which I love the most is
dirt biking. There’s a hill nearby where I live and every weekend I and my friends go out on our
bikes and ride for hours over there. The rush is just so emasculating and the connection we feel
with nature is divine.
Q2 Why do people like adventurous sports?
I can be wrong but I believe that people feel trapped sometimes in this rat race of doing their day-to-day
jobs and they like to add some thrill and excitement to their life by engaging in adventurous sports. It’s a
simple yet effective way for them to have fun and some spice in their traditional lives.

Q3 What are the benefits of adventurous sports?

There are never-ending benefits of adventurous sports. The ones which are at the top of my head right
now are that it makes us feel alive, the adrenaline rush in our body, and the endorphins which flow in our
body during these activities provide us with eternal bliss and well on a more technical note these sports
are a multibillion-dollar industry which employs tens and thousands of people.

Q4 Which age of people likes to play adventure sports?

Even though it’s more of an individual concept but still if I had to choose one, I would say that youngsters
especially those who are in their twenties are the ones who are most obsessed with these sports as they are
fit enough for these sports and also they have ample time and resources to participate in them. The cherry
on top is that it’s their time to live their lives to the fullest so they don’t feel any guilt doing these
activities, unlike people who are a bit older.

2 Advertisement you watched

(Success Mantra Educare, Jalandhar M: 9988014800)

• In the present scenario, advertisements have become part and parcel of our life.
• It is beneficial for gathering information and knowledge related to various things like which kind of new
products are available in the market.
• As well as what are the features and advantages of new items.
• We come across many advertisements by various means such as TV, Billboards, and hoardings.
• I like advertisements to be watched in my leisure time.
• My favorite advertisement is for FeviQuik, an adhesive material for repairing broken things.
• In this advertisement, a man catches fish by putting drops of this material on a fish stick.
• It is a very funny but very creative advertisement. The direction, music, and even expression of the
model are at par excellence.
• It impressed most consumers to buy this product.

Additional Question for practice

Q1 Do you like advertisements?

It depends, as a viewer; they mostly bother me when I’m trying to enjoy my show but the ads
which are targeted toward my needs are helpful sometimes. That’s one of the things I like about
the internet and social media its algorithm understands my needs and targets me with the things
which I need contrary to television ads which are generalized for the whole viewership.
Q2 Which kinds of advertisements are popular in your city and country?
So I live in India, we Indians love emotions and sentiments, especially people from my city. So obviously
we love ads with some storyline. It doesn’t matter the product or the service any brand is endorsing they
make sure to add some spice of drama in it for it to be catching to people’s eye. I still vividly remember
the whole jingle of a soap advertisement I saw 10 years ago.

Q3 What are the sources for watching advertisements?

We are bombarded with an advertisement daily from various sources. We are almost practically
surrounded by them no matter where we go. Let it be newspapers, Radios, billboards, or social media,
advertisements are an inalienable part of them. Just recently I read this article where some brands were
using boats and ships to endorse their products at beaches. As yeah as I said advertisements are
everywhere.

Q4 Discuss your favorite advertisement.

I like to watch advertisements because they provide knowledge about new products. My favorite
advertisement is for Mama’s Earth products. The founder of mama earth products is Gazal Alagh. For a
few months, I was suffering from a hair problem and I used a lot of things on my hair but nothing worked
when I started using mama earth it gave me fantastic results, and now I am using it and my hair become
stronger and shined. I also prefer it to others.

• I like agriculture. My family members are doing business with Agri products. We grow paddy, wheat
sugarcane, and many more vegetables.
• It is a very profitable business. People grow organic foodstuff. My state soil is very fertile and it gives a
wonderful yield of every Agri product.
• People use a lot of machines to do agricultural work. The irrigation system is also well here because
there are millions of tube wells.
• Moreover, agriculture is good for the environment as it generates a lot of oxygen. I like agriculture very
much.

Additional Question for practice

Q1 Do you like farming?

It’s an interesting question for me because my family is employed in the agriculture sector. I’ve
been born and brought up in this environment and to be honest I love it. It has allowed me to
connect with nature at such an intimate level. The fact that I’m involved in every process of the
production of the crop is just so fulfilling to me.
Q 2 Which part of your country is famous for agriculture?
So I live in the northern part of India which is famous for its agriculture sector. Around 70% of denizens
are employed in this sector. My state is known as the bread basket of the country as it exports crops to the
whole nation. Other primary sectors like horticulture and poultry farming are also popular in my state.
Q 3 Have you ever visited any farm?
As I have just mentioned I’ve grown up on a farm which was one of the best experiences of my life. You
can be in sync with nature all the time, even trivial things like rain make you happy. Of course, some
inconveniences come along with living on a farm. But it’s still worth it.

Q4 What are the main crops available?

So basically there are two main crop seasons in India, Kharif and Rabi and the main crops which are
grown in these periods are wheat and rice. They are grown at such a high scale that even after checking

Well, what I believe is that animals just have that energy and vibe which makes people attracted to them.

to take a moment. Animals as pets provide them with the comfort and calm they so badly need.

Q3 Where you can see the number of animals?

Well, The traditional place where we can see some animals is a zoo but I think the more sustainable and
better option would be a wildlife sanctuary, where we can observe and look at animals in their natural
habitat as visitors instead of keeping them in captivity for our entertainment.

Q4 What are the benefits of keeping animals?

From my perspective, animals are humans’ best friends like cows, buffalos, dogs, sheep, goats, and many
more. People earn money from domestic animals like selling milk products and taking wool. It can
usually be seen that dogs help humans and are loyal to them.

6 Attitudes in people

(Success Mantra Educare, Jalandhar M: 9988014800)

• People are born with different types of attitudes whether positive or negative.
• I would like to share about a person with whom I smelled a bad attitude. His/her name is Rupinder.
He/She was my classmate since class 6th. After matriculation exams, he/she immigrated to Canada with
his/her family. He/she came to India after many years. I got a chance to meet her/him at a marriage party
of our common friend.
• He/she was quite changed in his/her behavior. His/her talks were just frivolous. He/She was beating his/
her trumpet. He/she did not pay any attention to what I was discussing with him/her.
• His/her behavior was completely artificial and illogical. He/she is the person with an attitude I met
recently.

Additional Questions for practice

Q1 What kind of people do you like?

There is not even an iota of doubt that people have their tastes. I am a very extrovert person who
loves to get interacted with known as well as unknown people. Undoubtedly, I like people who
are extremely candid and open-minded. I am inspired by those individuals who are educated and
have the acumen to accommodate the sentiments of others.
Q2 It is necessary to talk with people all time politely?
Of course. Politeness is the virtue of God. Being human beings, it is our responsibility to be cordial not
only with seniors but with our peers and young minds too. Though it is next to impossible to be patient
and polite all the time, we can try to be the ones who can practice it. I believe that being polite all the time
can cost us nothing but it can boost the social image and respect in the wider society.

Q3 What is the difference between positive and negative attitudes?

The question itself elucidates the wider difference. Attitude is the fundamental concept of human life.
People who are vastly optimistic by their minds are generally progressive as well as growth oriented.
Conversely, those who are of passive attitude, talk about the darker sides of lives. If we are looking
forward to a successful life, we should refrain from people with a passive attitude.

Q 4 How natures of the people influence others?

Some people have very unique personalities and charismatic outlooks. They are soft-spoken and very
generous in their behavior. Wherever they go, they earn lots of attention from others. When others want to
talk to them, they share their thoughts and experiences. It becomes the major cause of influencing others.

The sense of achievement also helps us in building our self-confidence and self-esteem which
goes a long way in people’s life.

Ans. Ans. The concept of achievement is quite subjective, for me, achievement is the acquisition of a title

our blood and sweat into the task... The achievement also refers to the acknowledgment of our efforts by
our society.

Q3 How people can achieve anything in their life?

Ans. I don’t believe there is a single absolute way to achieve anything in our life. We all have our way
through life. But of course, there are some characteristics that one can opt for to succeed and I think self-
discipline is one of those virtues which we should adopt in our life. It keeps us in check from distractions
and any other stimulus which might be a hindrance to us from fulfilling our task.

Q4 Are achievements to motivate denizens?

Ans. Undoubtedly, if a person has any talent and he or she will get something because of their work it

10 Best video you ever shot

(Success Mantra Educare, Jalandhar M: 9988014800)

• As we all have smart phones, shooting a video is the bed of roses for all of us.
• I remember last month I went to Golden Temple with my family. It was a great sunny day. There was a
huge rush in the temple because of the festival season.
• I decided to sit aside the temple and asked my family to go inside the primal shrine.
• When I was sitting alone, an idea clicked in my mind to shoot a video of the temple as it was extremely
decorated. I started narrating a script about the features of the temple while shooting a video of all four
corners of the temple. As the weather was so clear, the golden shrine view was spectacular in the water
shade.
• When I watched that video, it was eye-catching and interesting stuff.
• I uploaded it on Facebook. I was amazed that many of my friends appreciated my efforts.
• Even my family members also applauded me for my shooting skills. This is the best video I had ever
shot in my life.

Additional Question for practice

Q1 Why do people shoot videos?

Ans. We as humans love to capture the moment by recording them in a video as it’s a simple
way to remember those beautiful moments as videos can say out a million words. It is also a
great way to make some art pieces.
Q2 What are the benefits of shooting videos?

merits. A lot of organizations use videos to record and save important data and videos are also a great
source of entertainment when they are made with proper planning and features.

Q3 Where we can shoot the video?

Ans. If we are shooting videos for just ourselves then we can technically shoot anywhere but if we want
to shoot something professional which needs proper production and background then we need to have a
legitimate permit for it.

Q4 Have you ever shot any videos recently?

Ans. That’s an interesting question for me because I and my friends made a short video for our local
library in our senior year of high school. We tried to make it as professional as possible; we took care of
the sound, lighting, cinematography, script, and everything. We then uploaded it on our school forum. It
was so liked by the school committee that we were given not just a trophy but a cash prize as well. We
got so many referrals to shoot videos after that video.
