RE: Learning about the efficient project handling system of TELUS company.
I am currently a student at Capilano University enrolled in the North American Business Management
Applied Post Baccalaureate diploma (NABU Applied), a program very similar to the one that you
undertook in your graduation. In this course, an assignment was assigned by an instructor and to
accomplish it, we need to explore more about how we can opt to handle big business projects with great
success rates. In regards to that, Mr. John, one of our common LinkedIn connections suggested me to
seek the relevant information from you regarding my prospects in the field of project management. As I
researched more about you, I was intrigued with your extensive experience in the TELUS industry and
your enormous contribution towards developing some of the most successful project management
channels across Canada.
Furthermore, your valuable experience in working with various international companies such as George
Weston Limited, ATB Finance, Power Corporation of Canada and currently, with TELUS, all these working
experiences fill deep feeling of appreciation in me, that is why I would appreciate the golden
opportunity to gain your precious insight in regards to handle big size projects effectively. I am keenly
interested in learning about effective ways and techniques of handling projects from an industry
specialist. Below is the sample of the data I was hoping to find.
Can you provide an overview of the current project you are managing?
How do you handle changes or unforeseen issues that may arise during the project?
How do you measure and track the project's success?
How do you ensure that the project stays within budget and meets quality standards?
What role do stakeholders play in the project, and how do you manage their
expectations?
What opportunities for professional growth and development exist within your project
team or at TELUS in general?
Also, I am attaching a list of more sample questions, please find enclosed a list of questions below. I can
imagine that your schedule is very hectic and I would surely value the chance to ask these questions in
physical interaction. I was hoping that I could have 20 minutes of your precious time to question you in
more detail. I will call next week to arrange an interview if it is possible as per your schedule. Thank you
for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you.
Sincerely,
Ajay Luthra
